Love Dr. Mauhaffel!!!!! After having chest pain for years and having tests by other well-known cardiologists who found nothing wrong with me, I saw Dr. Mauhaffel in 2009. The day after tests, his office called and had me come back in and was told I had a congenital heart condition--malformed aortic valve. The next day I had heart surgery by Dr. Donias (whom I also recommend). I still see Dr. Mauhaffel yearly for tests. He is very kind and understanding.

Dr. Mouhaffel has been my doctor for 8 years. He takes good care of me and I would recommend him to anyone in need of a cardiologist. You do have to wait a while to see him when you go for your appointment. Wait time is usually 2+ hours.

The only nice people on his staff were Amy, Nina, and the other receptionist, they were very nice and helpful. The person who called herself the Office Manager was very rude, telling me that my Ins. would not pay, and I needed to pay for visit up front. My Ins. reimbursed me today, I will not be going back, the Medical record person was very ugly when my records were requested by my family physican, because she wanted to know what was going on with me. Was sent here by my doctor. This person called and stated that Dr. Mouhaffel would not see me again because I was going to see another cardiologist. This doctor is a family practice doctor and not a a cardiologist. My appointment was cancelled and they didnot have the decency to call and tell me my appointment was cancelled. So now my faily doctor has made me an appt. wit andther heart doctor. Maybe he needs to take a hard look and get a new manager for his practice,Was also told that she was not a very nice person by other pts.

The average wait time is 2.5 (two and a half) hours--even for a 2 minute conversation regarding test results. I have seen people leave his office in frustration. When looking around his waiting room, one gets the impression that the patients are nothing more than dollar signs. What shocked me the most was not the rude ignorant staff but the fact that Mouhaffel ALWAYS tried to coerce me into getting the MOST invasive, dangerous, and costly treatment. This has happened twice now. In both cases he was dead wrong... If I had taken his advice, I could be dead. When you read excellent reviews know that the staff of these doctors pad these reviews. Dr. Mouhaffel is the absolute pits.

I love Dr. Mohaffel and his staff. They are compassionate, caring and friendly. They take the time to answer any questions you may have. Even though he has many patients, they do not rush you through like cattle. (another local doctor has a sign in his office stating his patients are limited to only 2 complaints) Dr. Mouhaffel.... We love you. Thank you for saving my life.
