He is surely one of the best thoracic pathologists in the world and also a great teacher.

As a Pulmonologist in the Washington, DC area, I worked with Dr. Travis during his years at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology - and he is without question one of the very best Pulmonary Pathologists (if not THE best) in the USA and probably in the world. And a wonderful and nice person to boot.
