Dr VanLoon is a very knowledgeable and kind Doctor with a very good bed side manner, he always allows ample time for appointments and explanations, we are very lucky to have him as a doctor in the Peterborough area!!

I feel as though his staff can be a little short with his patients. Some are nice though.

This man is over 80 y/o and needs to retire. He has been in practice in Millbrook since 1972 and is past his sell by date.

I have been lucky to have Dr. V for many years as our family physician. While the wait is often long to see him, he always give time and attention once you are in his office. I have also found the Nurse Practitioner to be excellent - empathetic, thoughtful and very knowledgeable. Thank you both for the many years of service you have given and hopefully continue to give to our community.

Best family doctor Ever! He has been my husbands doctor since he was a kid and now is our whole families doctor. I don’t know what we would do without him!

Dr VanLoon has been my dr for almost 30 years. He has had some staff that I don’t care for. I will not see his np for a few reasons, 1-he is the best and 2- I’m not a big fan of her. He does not prescribe unless absolutely necessary and take the time to explain the issues his patients are having. After I had a hard go, I went to see him and he let me cry on his office for over half an hour and then gave me a hug an apologized for my having gone through that. He is not motivated by money like many new drs and he does not have the ‘one issue’ rule (I live out of town so I usually have a list of issues when I go see him). He is passionate about job and if he doesn’t fully know what your illness is, he brings out one of his many books. We will be a very sad family when he decides to retire.
Punctuality hasn’t always been the greatest (I hardly wait now) but the reason you wait so long is because you aren’t just another appt, you actually matter to him and he takes the time to make you feel that.

I wouldn’t recommend this physician. He miss diagnosed 3 members of my family causing death to two of them. I have changed doctors due to his lack of medical knowledge.
