Dr. Mickels is an amazing woman! Very caring with an excellent bedside manner. Genuinely cares for her patients. I highly recommend her as a physician!

Dr mickels is a GREAT doctor an I love her ta death...She is always there for me.. I can talk ta her about anything...She is not a pill pusher..We make decsions about my health together...Also she is very caring, understanding,kind an loving... She loves what she does an the people she takes care of..If I ever move from this area i'll have ta pack her in my suitcase an take her with me...Theres NO ONE LIKE HER...She also explains things to u so u can understand it

She's like your mom but with all the knowledge and expertise your mother never had. Excellent bedside manners. Spends time listening and is very compassionate, yet not afraid to agressively treat problems. Staff is friendly. Wait time is minimal. I cannot express enough how caring and intelligent she is. She is not egocentric, either. She is so competent that she will conference with her colleagues in Omaha, who are specialists in specific fields, to acertain a situation that is slightly uncommonly found in medicine. (i.e., DVT during pregnancy and the condition was one she had only seen one other time and was not afraid to check with a perinatal specialist- and tell me!!!) Most M.D.s/D.O.s would never admit that they do not always have all the answers. She actually did have the answer but told me she wanted to double check. How assured I was!!! She also would personally call me with test results! I highly recommend her and will continue to drive from Kearney to see her.
