I am convinced if not for Dr.Murray treating my father nearly 10 years ago that my father would still be alive today. He completely botched a surgery using out of date techniques and refused to accept my father was deteriorating until he nearly completely wasted away. His disaster resulted in another 5 surgeries over the next 6 mos.Even I could recognize that he was draining urine out of the wrong drain yet Dr.Murray could not.when we FINALLY were transferred to Ottawa(after my insisting)a resident told me he would eat his shirt if I was not right. To top things off, there was never any pathology report of Dr.Murray having removed tissue (part of the ureter) high risk for cancer.Of course, the cancer returned. This past year, my father died within weeks of his diagnosis of bladder ca metastisis, 9 years after Dr. Murray removed his bladder.I don't have enogh space to comment on his rude condescending tactics during our most difficult time.Suffice to say see ANYONE else if you can!

I went to Dr. Murray for a kidney stone. He blasted it with the laser and inserted a stent, he sent me home with narcotics for the pain but failed to prescribe an anti-biotic. I'm diabetic so this was especially important. Two days later the pain had increased so my wife brought me back to Pembroke General Hosp. Dr. Murray felt that the pain was caused bu the stent and removed it. Still no anti-biotic. As a result of this I developed a kydney infection. Once again I returned to the Hospital after several days of pain. The staff had no idea how to proceed so my wife insisted I be sent to Ottawa. Two hours after arriving at the Ottawa General hospital I was having surgery. My Kidney infection had developed into full blown blood poisoning. They saved my kidney by inserting a nephrostomy. I should add that after my initial surgery by Dr. Murray (blasting the stone) he spoke with my wife and flirted with her. Dr. Murray is extremely unproffessional. Drive to Ottawa!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so happy to have discovered this website and have the opportunity to make public the terrible experience my husband had with this doctor some 15 years ago. He was in terrible pain because of a renal kidney stone which caused his urine to be the color of tomato juice. Because he had Hepatitis C, Dr. Murray refused to help him and said that he did not believe the pain was caused from the stone. He said that he was afraid of catching the disease and it would be dangerous for the staff in the OR. My husband was told he would have to learn to live with the pain. After much protest and the help of Dr. Ben, we convinced Dr. Murray to refer my husband to Ottawa where the dr that saw him knew right away that the stone was causing the pain. Because of the type of stone, my husband lost his kidney. I complained to the college of physicians and surgeons and nothing was done. If you or someone you love needs to see a urologist, seek another doctor.

Very ignorant over phone, rude comments, smacking his lunch while talking to me. Could not believe how he talked to me and what he said.. He should not be in this practice. I think I have to see him one more time, not looking forward to it but it’s easier then getting a new doctor and starting all over again. If something else shows on my next test in June then I will request to see someone else and get my file transferred. There is no way I will continue to see him after this test.

Disrespectful and very rude on the telephone. Saw him one time and wasn't helped by his written prescription and never saw him again.

Good Guy. A bit gruff and remote. Loud voiced chap which can probably be explained due to the demographic of his patients, most of whom are elderly and hard of hearing. A no nonsense man in a world of complexity, fraught with anxiety and overwork.
