Dr. Holmes office is great!! He is one of the only docs that will even see in hospital plus he works 16 plus hours a day and he never turns poeple away. His staff is very professional so those who say the aren't DO NOT know what they are talking about. I Love his staff. Those girls are great and they are always smiling and happy, even when they get crap from patients that they don't deserve they still smile. And yes they do have an answering serice it is a live person not even a machine so again people do not know what they are talking about. Dr Holmes you are great the staff is great so keep up the great work you are all awesome. Oh and about that blood transfusion NEVER does a patient go directly to emerg, this is a booked test that gets done over several days and NEVER same day so obviously you were hearing wrong, I cannot express enough how wonderful the staff and Dr. Holmes are do not listen to the complainers on this site!!!

I went to Dr Holmes with sever pains in my stomach, he said I had an over active stomach, I returned to him demanding I could not tolerate the pain any longer. He sent me to a specialist who sent me for x-rays- I had an ulcer. My last experience with Dr Holmes was when I hurt my back at work and he thought he would experiment with his lack of chiropractic skills in his office then decided to send me to a chiropractor. I returned to Dr Holmes complaining not only about my back but now getting pins and needles. I decide that I was a single mother trying to get some time off work. I then informed him that I had been living common-law for the past 5 years. I found another doctor, he referred fantastic chiropractor who informed me my biggest problem was that I had been over manipulated by a chiropractor & I had 2 ribs out, I only needed to go to him 4 times.

Dr Holme's staff is not required to answer phones until 9:45AM, they all go to lunch at same time ( no one to answer phones) It is closed Wednesdays and the staff do not answer the phones on Fridays. This is only 16 & 1/2 hrs per week that patients may call to make appointments, renew perscriptions ask for test results etc. They do not have voice mail and when you call you often get a busy signal or 20 rings with no answer. Administration costs are at a minimum, including old technology used for telephones. However, the patient is asked to pay a yearly fee for extra services. I only go to doctors when I have to, maybe once a year as I do not like the whole experience of trying to get an appointment, waiting, listening to the staff chatty and laughing. I would prefer another doctor but we do not have any in our town that are taking new patients. The worst comment I have is that I do not trust them with my health.

Dr. Holmes does his best. In our city there are so few doctors that he has over 2000 patients. It is not a wonder you have to wait for appointments. The main problem I have is with his staff ... they are rude and constantly talk about other patients ... which can be clearly heard in the waiting room. Very unprofessional. The best thing about Dr. Holmes is that he will refer you to a specialist if he has any doubt. This is satisfying.

Althought wait times can be long i have found that with almost all the medical professions. If he is not sure what is wrong he makes sure that he sends you to specialists.

My family had been patients of his for yrs and not once was I unhappy - any time you go to a doctors u have a wait - there is a doctor shortage u know, so the doctors do have more patients then they did many moons ago - he was always straight to the point and if he had any concerns he had u see a specialist. I do not have him anymore as we have moved 6 hours away - I wish he was still our family practioner

I have found the wait times at this office extremely long. There have been several administrative issues, including notes sent to my home charging for missed appointments that I haven't even scheduled. The office never seems to know what prescription drugs I'm taking as they are never up-to-date in my file. After waiting on average 1 hour to see the doctor your appointment will last under three minutes. The doctor will never make eye contact with you. The quality of care offered by Dr. Holmes has in my opinion been steadily deteriorating.
