Doctor Castera is very professional, personal, and courteous. Staff is friendly and helpful. The first assistant I had when I visited his northland office actually heald my hand through the procedure for detecting my stage III rectal cancer. I am impressed with all. I am 1 month post chemo and radiation pretty surgery and am satisfied with the treatment and care I have received so far...

Great experience with Dr Castera. Good guy to go to. Office chairs were very uncomfortable when you have a bad case of hemorrhoids but Castera fix me up just fine. I would go back to him but I hope I don't have to.

Dr. Castera initially came off as a little distant, maybe even robotic during our first meeting. Bedside manner was kind of dry. But the work was first class.I have researched my situation fully, and feel he fully understood and kept in consideration all of my input and details/implications.In treating my anal fissure and 4 x stage 3 hemorrhoids (protruding after bm, must be pushed back in manually), we tried niphedipene cream and suppositories for a while, to no avail. Too large for IRC, he banded the largest one first a month ago and two more this morning. It's definitely uncomfortable, but Dr. Castera was careful and fast, and I finally feel like the end of this ordeal is near. The fissure is healing slowly but surely, and my follow-up in a month should be my last (with a chance of IRC for the remaining, smaller hemorrhoid).If I need anything in the future, Dr. Castera will be the first one I call. Highly recommended for anyone that requires these services.

Colostomy reversal. Dr. Castera was very proactive in post surgical care. His nurse still answered my phone calls six months later.
