Was rude and ignored why I was there and infered I was a chronuc cocain user. Told me what was going on with me abd didn't ask. His resident was excellent abd spent an hour gathering my information which Dr. Bakowsky obvioysly did not review or discuss with her. I was there because I have so much pain in my shoulders and arms I am at the end of my rope. He waz gping on about my nose then statins worst experiance I have had with a Doctor in NS.

Does not respond to patients' issues and concerns. When requesting help, staff responds by being extremely rude and threatening to withdraw all medical aid. Extremely toxic environment.

I have been seeing him since 2017. He's unique but a fantastic, knowledgeable doctor. I'm one of a few patients he has with my rare disease and he will admit that there isn't much known about my disease and he does his best. I even had to reach out to him for another medical issue that I wasn't receiving any help for and in a matter of a month had visited a doctor/walk in clinic/emergency at least 10 times. He emailed me right away, asked for pictures then asked to see me immediately.

I have had many doctors over the year in different provinces and he's easily in the top 5.

My first meeting with Dr. Bakowsky was over 20 years ago, my latest was June, 2022, and I was surprised and pleased that he remembered me! He’s the most knowledgeable and caring rheumatologist ever! Love his sense of humour, and his down to earth manner makes you feel comfortable. I can’t disagree more with the negative comments.

I have been seeing Dr. Volodko Bakowsky for many years. I tolerated his rude behaviour and as others have said on here. He is demeaning and makes you feel like you are a waste of his time. Yes, he laughs when you speak….quite odd. My health care has been sabotaged by the “ weak link” ..my Rheumatologist. He is the worst specialist I have seen. I was compelled to write this as I wanted other tortured patients to know that I feel there pain.
It is simply unacceptable patient care!

I have been seeing Dr. B for about 5 years now. He is fantastic. He is kind, asks lots of questions and genuinely cares about you. I feel blessed to have him as my specialist. Love his sense of humor too!

I am shocked to see positive reviews, as I had a very negative experience. He did not listen, was condescending and not helpful at all.
