Dr. DeRusso at Heritage Internal Medicine is the place to go when no one else can identify what is wrong with you. She solved some really complicated issues for me and my family. I can tell you; she will figure it out!

Heritage Internal Medicine has for a long time been the place for my family for primary care. The doctor is an outstanding doctor of internal medicine. Everything from the staff, to the feel you get going into the office, is warm and inviting. The doctor is worth going out of network as she has solved some really complex issue my wife had a few years back. She continues to be extremely personable and knowledgeable. Dr. DeRusso recently helped us again with and really went above and beyond and took so much of her time to get to the bottom of the issue. We feel very lucky to have found her and finally decided to write a review for her. Can't say enough good things about her and her staff. Thanks so much.

The doctor has been our family Internist for all of our medical problems and procedures for years. I have found Dr. DeRusso and her staff to be exceptional. Their thoughtfulness and comfortable atmosphere makes it a pleasant place to have your exams and medical problems/procedures taken care of. She is one of the warmest and most personable MD's I've ever been lucky to have known. Always willing to spend quality time with me and always thorough. Her office and medical care have always exceeded all expectations.

I have been going to Dr. Derusso for years. I have always known that she is so good at what she does that she doesn't need to take any insurance to stay uber busy. She only participates with one health insurance. I, like most, do not have that one but I pay because I know she is worth it. I always know I am in great hands with the doctor. She is not only an exceptional doc but her compassion and interest are second to none. She is complete with everything. I always know I am well cared for and in excellent hands. How many doctor's offices ALWAYS call you back with EVERY report and lab test done and then advise with results? And anytime I call for ANYTHING, I receive word back on how to proceed from a helpful and caring staff member within hours that same day! If I am ill and must be seen, they ALWAYS find room to get me in to be seen THAT DAY--not 2 days later... And everytime I have had bloodwork done or a procedure at her office, they have the courtesy and care to offer me bottled water and snacks! That is quality service and care!

Great doctor. Great personality, easy to talk to; staff is very accomadating. She does tend to run behind a little but that is because she is busy with a large following of patients. I'm not even sure I would go to a doctor who wasn't in such high demand. She is the best doctor around.

I was not feeling well for a very long time. I had been to so many doctors who just never took the time to talk to me and examine me. I was finally referred to Dr. DeRusso by a co-worker who spoke very positive about her. After the first visit, she began the needed testing to figure out what was going on with me. Very quickly, she diagnosed my illness and began treatment! It was a miracle. On a scale of 1 to 10, she is a 10. Excellent doctor!

A great doctor. My wife and I are amazed with what she has done for our family. She may not be on time, but I have learn over the years that she is the "go to" doctor when others can't figure out what is wrong; therefore, instead of shoveling people to some specialist, she is busy figuring out what is wrong with people. I guess it is too hard for her staff to know how long to schedule each person... Dr. DeRusso is brilliant and will figure out what is wrong with the patient and sometimes it take time. My wife started seeing her first, but when my doctor and a few specialist couldn't figure out what was wrong with me; my wife made me go to her. Best decision ever. Highly recommend. The least I can do is write her a few reviews.

Worst doctor ever. My appointment was for 10am and I had to wait over an hour and when she finally did come in to see me she talked to me for 2 minutes. Super unprofessional. Don't waste your time with this doctor.

Dr. DeRusso has been my primary doctor for 16 years. My father, who worked in the Northern Virginia medical community for ~40 years, recommended Dr. DeRusso after receiving several recommendations from her peers. Her services do cost more; I have to submit my health reimbursements; and her office seems to operate on island time --- but to recieve the best of the best in health care, it's worth it. I highly recommend her services.
