contradictory/wrong advice, rude, disrespectful and I would never recommend. I’ve since gotten other opinions and that is way more than multiple visits with him ever got me. Not to mention he seems to have something against fat people, maybe burnt out on helping people? Either way, I’m not a lazy non-exercising fat person who eats unhealthy so I don’t deserve to be treated that way. I went with my sister to an appointment and she even saw the way he talked to me and dismissed me. It wasn’t until my sister spoke up that he listened but even then he tried to disregard. It’s horrible to have to pay someone to basically treat you like your trash.

The nursing staff at Dr. DeVries office is horrible. If you have issues with prescriptions and your pharmacy good luck because you will never see the prescription. The nursing staff is the only reason I will not be returning. They need to receive customer service training sessions and public speaking. I do not feel confident when I am hearing "umm" used every other word out of your mouth. To survive I need insulin and when you will not confirm prescriptions or listen to the patients issues with pharmacy or insurance I will not return.

I have seen Dr. Decries for many, many years. I have found him to be knowledgable and compassionate. I have friends who are happy to have him as their physician.

I have never seen where I could write a comment on this DR! I saw this Dr also! One of the worst experiences ever, He was a hour late in getting in the room, for no reason! I started to walk out and then he said : OH I was just coming in " as he was feeding his face! When he was actually in the room, he was not concerned about my health issue at all! He did not listen to my concerns.. He was fast to brush them off like it was a JOKE! First off I did not understand what was happening with my body and had many questions and for this DR. to make me feel inadequate and so stupid. I ended up leaving crying. I would never recommend this DR. for anything.

Dr. DeVries is an endocrinologist who I was seeing for papillary thyroid cancer, twice a year or more for 4 years. Each visit he asked me the same questions about my life and family; he did not put anything in his records to show that he treats patients as people. I read books and medical information about my condition, and when I asked questions and/or shared my information he actually chuckled and said that my concerns were not valid, and gave me information that contradicted what I had read. I never felt confident that he had my best interests in mind. When I changed endocrinologists I found that I had been correct about my condition and the information he gave me actually put me at risk for recurrence of cancer. My numbers had been too high for over a year and he was going to allow them to get much higher before taking action. He was giving me facts about patients with a normal thyroid, not with a thyroidectomy and cancer. I advise cancer patients to find a different doctor.

At first I had high hopes for this doctor...but after a few visits I realized very quick that it is probably just time for him to retire. He didn't listen to my concerns and didn't make me feel like he even cared what I was saying. I would describe to him my concern and his response was we'll see you in 4-6 months...wait, what?!
