Dr. Lee is a terrific Dr.that has kept my mom walking when she should have been in a wheelchair over 10 yrs.ago. His receptionist Christine is wonderful considering the patients she has to deal with and their constant questioning when she is trying to do her job. The office has no apointments and is run on a clinic basis very similar to many run at Sunnybrook,TGH and others. The urologist I see has the same set up and yes you have to wait. New paitients are told on booking that there will be a wait time. Dr.Lee is very kind and does not want to see anyone in pain so he trys to see everyone and thus the wait.I'm sure he does not reduce everyones meds as someone said, only for those who need it,get real.Don't judge the receptionist until you have done a job like hers.I have and yes I have become short with people on many occasions from stress of dealing with difficult patients, there is more to the job than just talking with pts.Christine is a very caring person who just wants to do her job well.

Instructed to arrive 90 minutes after scheduled appointment and still had to wait 2 more hours (appt was at 2, was not seen until 5:30). There is no organization or appointments. You "show up between 10 and 4:30", sign in on a list, and still are not seen in order. The receptionist is the rudest person I have ever dealt with. She becomes short, impatient and angry very quickly when asked to explain anything. She belittles people at times and has a take-it-or-leave-it-attitude. It's a shame, because Dr Lee is very knowledgeable and helpful. He listens, explains and is very empathetic. Dr Lee is the only reason myself and other patients tolerate how this office is run.

ON LAST VISIT WAITED 3.5 HOURS,UNACCEPTABLE NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE DOCTOR IS.I HEARD THROUGH OTHER PATIENTS TALKING THAT HE WAS CHANGING ALL THE PATIENTS MEDS SO THAT IF THE COLLEGE INVESTIGATED HE WAS FOLLOWING PROTOCOL.MY QUESTION IS WHAT HAPPENS TO THE POOR PATIENTS WHO GET THEIR MEDS CHANGED AFTER MANY YEARS,THEY GO THROUGH HELL ALL BECAUSE SOME OTHER PATIENTS HAVE ABUSED THEIR MEDS? I HAVE JUST STARTED GOING THERE AND WILL LET MY REFERING DOC KNOW.HE NEEDS AN APPOINTMENT SYSTEM TO START WITH AND HE NEEDS TO SHOW UP AT 9.00AM LIKE EVERY OTHER DOCTOR I HAVE MET.

I don't know what he was jabbing away for, but it hurt a lot. He'd jab, jab, jab like pin pricks. Later I changed doctors and found out that trigger point injections were completely different than that and really helped. It was ridiculous what he was doing to me and I got no relief from pain, but yet all that jabbing away every visit was excruciating and blood would be running down my back. It was horrendous! Those definitely were not trigger point injections. He was very insulting to me also. I don't know what his problem was exactly.

Dr. Lee is a terrific doctor. He has been seeing my mom for over 15 yrs. From the beginning he was very thorough and expected her to be in a wheelchair in a couple of years (she can't have surgery). She is still going to him, walking in on her own , just using a walker this past year. Fantastic. My husband was in severe pain with his back, unable to move so he was referred, got an appointment within a MONTH!! After 2 visits he is back to normal. Patients who complain about wait time should know that patients arrive at 8:30am and wait outside the door then complain they have to wait over 2 hours. Dr. Lee has no control over the traffic or weather on his drive in to work just like anyone else so bring a book and quit whinning. IF you think he has a long wait try other specialists like Dr. Allessandrini who arrives over 2 hours late often. Also see what the wait time is for new referrals is with some specialists , 9 months to a year. I refer lots of people to Dr. Lee myself.

I was very disappointed by my appointment. He made inappropriate comments about my former depression asking "were your parents mean to you or something?" I'm not sure how he has so many positive ratings on this site.
