Saw him today for a follow up appointment to review results. Profession, punctual and very helpful. Lovely front desk staff as well.

In the seven years Dr Ahmed has treated me first for asthma then bronchiectasis I have found him compassionate and caring. He listens to me and encourages me to explore ways to cope with my illness. He does go out of town several times during the year but I can text or email him when I have a problem.

He's not patient or compassionate with the elderly . His office unorganized when you have a question or wanting information on test results . found him rude and disrespectful. Unfortunately this is the outcome of service with our medical system in Canada . its embarrassing quite frankly and disappointing.

Call before your appointment before you go! I had a follow up appointment with him after I slept at a hospital to go over my results... but the office was closed when I showed up! I received zero communication that the office would be closed. I called and they said they were closed and Dr. Ahmed was away. Okay... emailed them and got a response in the next few days rescheduling my appointment. All they said was "oops sorry, let's try again this day. Wait, Dr. Ahmed will be out that day too, let's try this day". That "next day" was today. I called them before leaving my house to make sure they were in office, and they said he was out for a conference! They said sorry, but they did not call me or tell me at all that this was happening.

For complex cases, best to be surrounded by a team of experts and not a single specialist. Recent diagnosis and recommended treatment plan could have had a very terrible outcome had a second opinion not been sought out.

Dr Ahmed was personalable but very pre-occupied with his sleep study. My care in the ER got stalled once he got involved as he was completely focused on getting me in a sleep study rather than addressing the reason I was in there. Sleep apnea may have been a contributing factor at one point but we were beyond prevention by this time.

Forms his own opinion of what is going on with you and won't listen to anything. Because of him my illness was delayed in diagnosis and it has led to a great deal of suffering.
