I went to her for a Pap test years ago and she took a biopsy of my cervix in her office - not in the hospital like it’s usually done. She did this WITHOUT my consent and WITHOUT informing me. I also DID NOT receive any general anaesthetic for the procedure. Extremely painful and traumatic is an understatement. I never went back to her.
She should NOT be a doctor.

Never go to this doctor, I was her first patient for LAVH surgery. She passed out
and Dr. Jackiewicz saved my life. Life has never been the same and suffered ever since.
Still suffering 20 years later!

After being referred by my GP for some routine female gynaecological care, I did some research and came across these poor reviews. At first I hesitated but ultimately decided to give Dr. Yegappan a try for myself before making a determination regarding her services. The receptionist was polite when calling me regarding my appointment and I even received a reminder phone call a couple days prior to my scheduled appointment. The receptionist was polite and my interaction with her was uneventful. I waited in the waiting room approximately 20-25 minutes past my appointment time and prior to being seen, but nothing extreme and nothing that hasn’t occurred to me at previous other doctor appointments. Dr. Yegappan herself was polite, asked me various health history questions/was thorough with her questioning and was attentive with her listening. When it came time for the actual exam, she was inputting information into the computer and asked if it was okay that she stay in the room while I prepared (undressed) for the exam and while she finished on the computer and I replied “no, not at all” considering she would momentarily be examining my female anatomy anyway. The exam itself was quick, painless and she conversed well with me throughout the exam, which helps to make anyone feel more comfortable. I was in and out of her office within 45 minutes. All in all, I’m glad I took these reviews with a grain of salt and chose to give her a shot myself, prior to judging her capabilities. I have no hesitation in visiting her again in the future.

She made me feel so comfortable, I could explain and she'd listen and really hear me. She's very knowledgeable and professional. I'd absolutely see her again. I don't understand the negative reviews, my experience was very good. Yes I had to wait a bit for my appointment, but if was worth it. Great Dr.

Absolutely horrible experience, and will never return for a visit. Completely unprofessional and rude to patients. I felt horribly uncomfortable and upset after my apportionment.

Not the best but not the worst experience. She is kind but abrasive and stays in the room while you change. Pretty awkward but she gets the job done. I will continue to see her, no problem. Like I said, it could be worse

My first pap smear - cried the entire time as I was nervous and uncomfortable. Waited about an hour, the office was... dingy to say the least, which was very telling. As I left the office, I FAINTED 3 TIMES!!! Once in the clinic hallway, on the sidewalk, and getting into my car. I had never passed out before, and on top of the traumatic exam, I was literally scarred for life. Thank god my mom had come with me to the appointment. Yegappan prescribed me new birth control pills which I couldn't continue taking after 3 days of nausea & throwing up. FYI - she's not allowed to perform obstetrical surgeries or deliveries. The College has specified that she's only allowed to practice in her office-based practice and as a surgical assistant to a COLLEGE APPROVED SURGEON (which she is not). If you get referred to her, ask your GP for another referral to ANYWHERE ELSE !!!!!
