Should have retired 15 years ago. Has a degree from McGill but had not ever updated his technique, skill or anything. In 2013 my son required work. Dr. Bernard doesn't allow parents in the room...big red flag. Had I been in there, this tragedy would not have happened. "DO YOU DO CROWNS?" "OH YES"...he cut the tooth down wayyyyyy to short. Beveled it the incorrect way. Made a "temporary" crown out of glue which came off same evening, Friday, leaving my son in agony. Dentist refused to come in to help till Monday. The new crown was too short. It came off in 2 days. Had to find an emergency dentist in regina who reglued the crown and informed us of all the issues. Had to have "crown lengthening surgury" $800. Healing for months. Then new crown $1000...took so long that root canal necessary...$1300. Neighboring tooth was affected...more work. So many freezing that they failed to take, leaving son in shock. A total nightmare because of never ever updating skills since 1950.

Dr. Bernard is so good at what he does, and just a heck of a nice person as well, and so is his spouse who does the books and is the receptionist (I always love chatting with her). I just couldn't recommend him highly enough, I think Moose Jaw is very lucky to have him practicing here.

I have been seeing Dr. Bernard for years. I always had anxiety from horrible experiences with dentists but from my first appointment he put me at ease and I can now go to see him without loosing sleep about the visit. He is caring and his patients are his only priority. His wife is amazing also as his receptionist and bookkeeper.

My first visit to Dr. Bernard was in the mid to late 70's. There were injections given and fillings done, however, what I came away with was a positive impression of a family atmosphere, people who enjoyed their work and were intent on contributing to the community at large. I was 11 at the time, and it stuck with me in a way that eventually led to me becoming a dentist myself, and eventually an orthodontic specialist. I have expressed my gratitude in person, however, I feel others should know what an amazing team Dr. Bernard and his wife are and how fortunate Moose Jaw is to have them.

So, today I parted with my left 2nd lower molar. I knew what it was going to be like extracting a 2nd molar as I had my right side taken out 8 years ago by another experienced dentist in my hometown. If there were 100 stars, I would have given to Dr Bernard 100! .... Dr Bernard made me comfortable and he took the molar out confidently and quickly, in less than a minute. How does anyone compete with that?? He is beyond awesome when it comes to his field of expertise. He is the best dentist and if I have to move away from Moose Jaw one day, he and his wife will surely be the first ones I'll miss! His assistant, Ms Gloria is very competent and has a great smile and attitude. Mrs Bernard is as usual, very warm and personal and takes time to visit. Like I said before, they are gems and I am deeply thankful to Dr & Mrs Bernard. Just before he did the big job today, Dr Bernard said I could say a small, medium or big prayer should I become anxious. The truth was I said a thanksgiving prayer for I knew I was in good hands and I thank God for His gracious provision.
Side interesting note : Dr Bernard plays beautiful music and Mrs Bernard used to beat Dr Bernard in running!

Today was my first visit to fix a cracked tooth and filling after discovering Dr Bernard from this site. I am so thankful to find such a great dentist in Moose Jaw. He is professional, extremely caring and gentle, He took time to get to know me, made me feel comfortable and fix my problem confidently. Dr Bernard and his wife are absolute gem. To visit them is such a refreshing experience. Thank you Dr Bernard and Mrs Bernard - God bless you!

Absolutely love Dr Bernard, very "old fashioned" in the sense that his patients and their health is his #1 priority, and he cares more about people than money. I temporarily have been seeing another dentist as I needed orthodontic work done, but can't wait to be back to Dr Bernard as I much prefer him over my orthodontist! :)

Dr Bernard and his wife (as receptionist) are, in my opinion, the nest dentists that you could ask for. They can fit you in quickly, and the work done is exceptional. Both care about your health over the price. If you're looking for someone to work on your teeth, you can stop looking.
