My husband and I saw Dr. Papageorge for about ten years with Southwest Medical. She was excellent; informative; patient; knowledgeable and extremely busy. We have had bad experiences with every doctor we have been to since she left; sure miss her. Now I have found her and she does not accept new patients...I am sad.

Dr. Papageorge's staff leaves a lot to be desired. She as a doctor could use better communication skills.

Every time I have a health problem that requires the doctor's help or evaluation to see if I need a rx called in, she has no time! If I wait months, I can maybe get an appointment. I had my previous appointments changed and when I finally can get in, she doesn't want to see me again for 6 months. My previous dr in Florida saw me every 3 months due to my age and disabilities. Also, for almost EVERYTHING that my primary physician did to help me in Florida, this doctor wants to refer me out! I'd be seeing another 4 or 5 doctors, if I listened to her. Heck, she won't address darn near everything.
Needless to say that I'm looking elsewhere! If you like being ignored and always being referred to urgent care offices, because she doesn't want to see you, then by all means, come here.

Dr Papageorge has been our doctor for almost 8 years and she's the best! She is what a five star doctor should be . Very professional, pleasant , informative, knowledgeable and most importantly " heals with compassion" . It is just too bad that she doesn't hold clinic at southwest medical anymore but we were lucky to have found her other clinic.

It took over two months to get an appointment for myself and my husband. Upon the early morning of our long-awaited appointment, we found ourselves waiting in a long line to check in. I've never seen that. Typically, you sign in up front and then sit down while waiting to be called. This line thing felt a bit degrading as if we were in a free clinic. But we waited. When reaching the desk, we were informed that the Dr. was not in that day! What? The man at the desk said "we tried to reach you." Yet, there were no messages from the office! We got up after five hours sleep to go to an appointment for which we waited two months so we could wait in a cattle line and then be turned away. We had to reschedule. I now get the pleasure of waiting an additional two more months to see the doctor! How's that for good patient care? I'm not amused. Time to find another doctor.

I was a patient of Dr. Papageorge's for years but didn't see her often UNTIL I tried to get an appointment (starting in April 2014) due to clearing of throat and coughing (starting in early January) that was getting progressively worse (constant). Instead, I was directed to Fast Care and Convenient Care (by her office) wherein I was advised that if I wasn't better to contact my primary (Dr. Papageorge); Fast Care and Convenient Care treated me for allergies (antibiotics, prednisone, etc).

I was NEVER able to get an appointment with Dr. Papageorge even with a 3-way between SD, me, and Dr. Papageorge's office but finally I was able to see a different doctor on May 16th who became my new PCP effective June 1st. My new PCP referred me to an ENT. The ENT (in July) advised me that I do have allergy problems but that he felt my current medical problems were esophageal related after he inserted a camera through my nose and down my throat; he also advised me that any doctor should have known that since the antibiotics and steroids didn't help that it was NOT ENT related. I was scheduled for a CAT Scan but could NOT have it done because of the constant clearing of throat and coughing (have to be still during the Scan).

I was then referred to a Gastroenterologist (end of July) wherein I have undergone extensive tests (Esophagram, EGD, Modified Barium Swallow, and am awaiting approval for an Esophageal Manometry Test). The Esophagram and EGD showed a significant amount of acid in my Esophagus (NOT GOOD, not supposed to be there) and the EGD showed I also have a hiatal hernia. Depending on the outcome of the Esophageal Manometry Test, my Gastroenterologist recommends (since only a slight improvement after aggressive medications and omitting a variety of foods) I have Nissen Fundoplication Surgery (wherein the top of the stomach is wrapped around the lower esophagus).

After what I have been through I could NEVER, EVER recommend Dr. Papageorge to ANYONE!!! Thanks Dr. Papageorge for NOTHING, I feel you are a total disgrace to the medical profession!!!

Excellent listener. Fairly good "bedside manner" with good humor. Is willing to try various therapy. However, she is in an HMO and has maybe 15 minutes max per patient. Her assistants/nurses are poor and seemingly overworked. Just give them the facts or they will diagnose you which can confuse the doctor. I like her and hope she stays with my HMO.
