Not sure how this guy is still practicing. When I was a teenager, during my first meeting with him, he diagnosed me with bipolar disorder and prescribed me medication. Fortunately, my parents caught on that it was too soon so make that diagnosis and got a second opinion. I was subsequently diagnosed with anxiety and treated with cognitive behavioral therapy i.e. no pills. I am grateful for my parents choice for a second opinion as I'm not sure what would have happened to my mental health if I had stuck to treatment with Dr. Chandler. This is a frequent story in these parts about Dr. Chandler, I'm not sure if it's incompetency, greed, or what but I would recommend staying away.

Dr Chandler should retire,he has a bad name for not caring and being rude. He has no understanding of young people and is so quick to put them on pills,he doesn't care and should be gone!!

Dr. Chandler nearly killed my daughter. Putting her on one med right after another, each one making her more & more sick. My poor daughter said she would have killed herself but she thought about hurting me. I went in upset and crying bc I was watching my girl slowly die in front of me, he looked at me & said you seem like you need meds. Offered to write me something. I looked at him & asked him if he was crazy. The cause of me upset is my daughters situation, I would be fine if she was getting better but she is getting worse. That was the last time I see him. I weaned my daughter off meds and she is now 19 in university on no meds. She still struggles mentally but after her experience she doesn’t want anything to do with meds. He should never be responsible for childrens mental health

This quack shouldn't be allowed to give out drugs to children. He should have been gone long ago. He doesn't care what he puts them on and how sick they get. He is unfit and it's a sin parents get so desperate for help they have no choice but to go to him, it's just not worth the risk!!

Rude, Unprofessional, Unethical. Misdiagnosis. Uses drug walking test to diagnose ADHD. And this was not a one-time situation me my friend and my brother both confirmed they had to do this. When I was younger And diagnosed he told me because I was stunted for my age mentally I couldn't take my driver's test. My mom ended up believing it and I lost some of my freedom to do things "because it was too dangerous for my mental age" Legally, I am in my right to drive at the time. But my mom wouldn't let me because I was a minor. I'm so pissed I was MENTALLY STUNTED by YOU CHANDLER. He just sat at a desk to diagnose me no tests besides the drunk test and STANDARD questions any person would ask. He is not a doctor. This is dangerous to have him as one, Being that I have a strong feeling he misdiagnoses and abuses his powers and his parents believe him. If I find out that I have ADHD as I am getting diagnosed I'm suing. :)

Had an emergency that we emailed him for. Instead of responding, his receptionist let us know that he (right then) decided to drop us as a client. It took over a month to be seen again (and us calling/emailing him to re refer us to someone. He claimed he did but after weeks with no update it turned out that he never had) and on his notes he had written three things that he believed summed up the reason I was having depression and anxiety issues. Those three things being that: I was fat, I was a hormonal woman on a period, or that I was just a moody teenager.

In my time actually seeing him he paraded me around a dozen medications with little to no success, all the while pushing and pushing for me to get ECT. It was no surprise to me that he was part of the team that administered it at the hospital, and that they were having funding/staffing issues. After a point he stopped trying new prescriptions and told me that ECT was my last option. Only after I brought him a list of medications other people found success in and that we hadn't tried yet that he was willing to try more things.

I’ve been seeing dr chandler for about five years now just because he is the only child psychiatrist that was offered to me in Yarmouth. He is brutally honest which was good in some cases but in most cases it made me feel really bad about myself. I’ve been on a roller coaster of trying different medications and to be honest I’m starting to feel like a guinea pig. He is quick to start you on another medication before you can even finish telling him what you were going to say. He brings up religion too much in his sessions with me and he will laugh at me when I open up to him. So basically I wouldn’t recommend seeing him unless you’ve got really thick skin.
