I have had bipolar disorder for 22 years. Always successful in work and school under his care. After being on medical with Dr. Samuel Smith my health plummeted. New doctor now , Dr. Jenna Vo, back on track. But still miss Dr. Rosenberg since he woke me up from my mania in 2021. My favorite psychiatrist. Dr Jenny and I are about to graduate Veterinary technician school with honors! Please forward this to Dr Irwin Rosenberg. Miss him to death.

This man is a maniac.Check the Internet before you ever make an appointment. Many board sanctions and convictions including an investigation for murder for hire. His personal office looks like a disaster.. For those reviews who say he is "nice" - he is crazy like a fox - it serves his purpose to be 'nice - it's part of his MO. Read the sanctions and criminal investigations to see the meaningless of 'nice." It means nothing. I know from experience as his patient in the hospital, where my opinion or experience meant nothing, as I was the inmate. Since then I have mentioned him to other medical professionals who always nod in recognition of his reputation and shake their head in shame. How he can remain in practice is a disgrace to the Medical Board and proof of the immunity of psychiatrists or medical professionals to prosecution. He is a recidivist - with many sanctions and still in practice.

Extremely knowledgeable; very comprehensive initial evaluation, spent lots of time reviewing past history with meds and especially my psych history to make sure my diagnosis was correct. Took time to talk to my family member to get more info. I never had a psychiatrist ask so many questions on first visit. Found combo of meds that changed my life. I have recommended him to friends and family, and they are all extremely pleased.

WARNING WARNING WARNING !!! I highly suggest doing a background check prior to considering seeing this doctor. I am shocked that this dr is still practicing after his obvious lack of morals and or ethics. His initial evaluation as a new patient lasted 10 minutes and was of zero help. The experience was all around horrid.

Although, Dr. Rosenfield is very knowledgeable, I can not recommend him at all. He does like to talk about himself and has had his license suspended by the Medical Board. he falls asleep during sessions.

If your condition requires medication he is probably the doc for you. If you want someone to talk to he is not. He would rather talk about himself. He has been disciplined by the medical board due overprescribing and accusations of inappropriate behavior.

I found Dr Rosenfeld to be very helpful and very caring. He obviously knows a great deal about medication. Within 4 weeks I went from suicidal to stable; quite an accomplishment.
