As a former hospital CEO with 25 years in the industry, plus my 8 years as an officer in the Medical Service Corps of the Navy, and on top of my advanced degrees in Public Health from Columbia University, I feel confident commenting on Dr. Merrifield as my integrative health physician over the past 12 years. She is caring, compassionate, available, intelligent, competent, knowledgeable, current, articulate, sensitive, communicative, direct, insightful, and accomplished. Dr. Merrifield is the rare practitioner one hopes to find and have on your medical team. I have entrusted my life to her care, as has my wife. Dr. Merrifield has identified, treated, and solved complex medical conditions that left my team of other specialists stumped. You can not find a better human being, or a more exceptional physician than Dr. Merrifield. Unfortunately, there are not enough stars on this scale to rate her more highly.

I had an auto immune disorder that Dr. Merrifield treated. She saved my life and through a few years of treatment, long story short, she systematically restructured my 'systems' and now I am healthy. She also forecast that my siblings would have the same issues showing up in the future, which they are now battling, including Lupus. This treatment was years ago. She sometimes spent hours with ME,too. So, I did not mind the wait. She is absolutely brilliant.
I don't know what her practice is like now but my story is similar to others at that time. I even overheard a lady sitting in front of me on a flight to Seattle telling a companion about her heart surgery that had been adverted years before.

Helped me get off my Lipitor and BP meds using an integrated wholistic approach. I had to change my lifestyle and it was well worth it. The testing and nutrients more than offset the costs that i had in visits and med co-pays etc. As I get older the knowledge that i have will save me buckets in the long run. She can run late because she spends needed time with ME when I am there. So call ahead to see if she is on time and bring a book to read and relax as you wait. The waiting room area has the best comfortable chairs I have ever seen in an office. She is the best doc I have ever had.
