Wow, I cannot believe this place is still open. I am a former employee of Dr Maccarone's ( by the way I resigned after about 2 months of employment there). I have been in the medical field for about 25 years, working as a medical assistant, so I have a lot of experience in both offices and also hospital settings. I moved from Phoenix Az to Clarksville and was initially called and told by the manger at the clinic I had more then enough experience, but I was " too nice" and that Dr Maccarone can be very demanding so they went with another girl. After about one week the manager called me back and said that girl quit after one week and if I still wanted the job there it was mine. On my first day I immediately was aware of what was going on there. The girls were told that he wanted minimum $3000 cash per day in his hand from his pain management patient's ( all of which were drug addicts) who either consumed or sold all the medications he gave them. We were told to cancel insurance patients appointments and call over and over again to the cash patients to see if they wanted to come in for more medication to get the doctor his cash daily. The amount of medication he was giving these people would kill a horse in a second, hundreds of pills. If he would not get his daily quota of money he would be very angry and chastise you. Deep down inside I knew this was terribly wrong and that is why I only lasted two months and then resigned. His office manager and his other doctors he works with are in on the whole thing as well. He has already been looked into by the board for bad practices, but still continues to practice. Shut this place down now and throw him in jail for what he has done to these addicts as well as there families. If law enforcement reads this , contact me and I will be willing to testify at any time.

Please do not have this droctor as your droctor. My husband and I and son went fo him for I guess for about three years. Will not go back. EVER AGAIN. From waiting for hours and hours to see him. To after waiting in the front and then waiting in the back froom. To get this they came in and told us he could only see one person. When we had three apportment. My self and husband and my son. We all had apporments that day. But waiting for hours and more house in the back. And then being told he could not see us. Only one of us. We left and will never go back. He is not a good droctor. As someone said he only cares about is your money. And to top it off I had a apporment one day. And after waiting for hours I got in the back and again waited and waited. He then came in. Where he was there for 2 minutes when he said he would be back in a minuted. Well guess what he never came back. Please don't go to this droctor.

This doctor will cancel you as you are sitting in his waiting room for your appointment. He will tell you to be in the office at 8:30, but he doesn't show till 330. He is a pill mill that doesn't care about treating legit pain. Seems he's only interested in cash patients. He can't keep a PA in the office. Don't waste your money or time. He's going down very soon.

Dr. Maccarone may have once been a decent doctor but time and a persons personal life have a way of changing people. I am afraid that as a result of both I would not reccomend Dr. Mac to my worst enemy. He is in need of some extreme counseling himself. Do yourself a favor and find another doctor.

Dr. Maccarone is a very good Dr and shows a genuime concern for the paitent, that is when you get to actually see him. He is very down to earth and explians things in detail to you. I selected him because of the quality of service and to have a dr that I could see on a regualr basis and not be bounced from one to another. This worked well for a couple of years. Then I started seeing the PA's and they were also great, until they started leaving and as soon as one understood the issues I was coming in for they would leave. Within the last year I saw 3 different PA's. My Wife and I also had issues with phone calls not being returned, appointments that were differnet then what was given to us. Long waits well over 2 hours per visit. My last visit medications were not refilled as I had requested and when I called to get it corrected I was told that I had to reschedule an appointment, that it was my fault that the meds were not refilled. All they wanted was the money for the visits.

He is a very good Doctor that will listen to his patients with any problem for as long as you need him to listen. He is very caring and good at being a Doctor. Yes there might be a wait but he is always been a good doctor to my husband and I.Fixing problems that we have and even Mental talks that we need sometimes. Very Compassionate towards all Patients, I highly recommend this doctor.

My wife appointment was a 9:30 am she got all the paper work and blood work completed in 1 1/2 hours. We waited until 12:30 pm to find out that the doctor had went to lunch. The nurse came in and said we should go do the same. We came back at 1:15 pm and the doctor was not back. We waited untill 2:30 pm to find out he was with other people and said we would be next. My wife got up crying and went to sit in our vehical. 3:30 came around and I went in the the doctor office and let him have it. This is the most untought full doctor we have evere incounted. Please save your self and stay away from him. I will not even go to Gate way anymore because they allow him to continue to work their.
