we did not have a good experience here, he flipped through our file 1" thick, and said "i don't have time to read ALL this, do you want the same drugs from before?" (2001) and issued a scrip. No patient history, no tests, no answers, and we're still waiting - 7 weeks later for a simple referral to another hospital. the staff doesn't follow up on any phonecalls, the referral has gone to the wrong fax # and wrong hospital, and they just don't seem to care.

Time for this doctor to retire. I diagnosed my own condition thanks to the Mayo Clinic online, and searched out a Neurologist I wanted to see in Hamilton. My GP made the referral and definately supported my decision to request a second opinion. Dr. Chew had no interest in my symptoms and does not believe Fibromyalgia is a real condition. I thank him for his incompetance, because I am now being treated!!!

All i have to say is if you were referred to him RUN as fast as you can to Hamilton. I did two visits with him. The second time I asked a family member to come observe because I thought there's no way what I'm seeing is happening. Very Rude, short, wrong diagnoses. Told me i'd have to be on meds for the rest of my life. Found a good neuro at Mac who gave a different diagnosis with proper med for a short period of time and who also said and i quote" there are NO good nero's in the Niagara area." scary thought.

I have fibromyalgia but have been experiencing many m.s symptoms for the last 3 years. Dr.Chew dismissed my symptoms when I went to see him and basically told me my symptoms were all in my head and not m.s related. Even though I neouropathic pain, blurred vision etc. I would NEVER go back to him again. I'm hoping I can find a good neuro. in Hamilton or Toronto to help figure out what is wrong with me.

My oh my!!!Very condescending, rude and didn't explain anything. He was too busy looking at his computer screen and mumbling the test results so they were bearly audible to the patient-who was sitting directly in front of him. He did not greet us, nor make any eye contact during our 10 minute visit. We will be looking for another "specialist" to help take care of our problem.

In my opinion Dr. Chew should have his licensed stuffed down his throat. He is the most rudest human being (if you could call him human) I ever met. I went to him for going unconscious. He didn't take me serious, and do the proper tests. I went to Hamilton and my new neurologist was very disgusted that he didn't do an MRI which is standard. I had an MRI and they found a brain aneurysm. Thanks Dr. Chew I was forced to see him again for seizures. He gave me the proper tests??? Then said that he didn't think (does he?) that I have seizures. Then he gave me a prescription of antiseizure medication which gave me an overdose kept me awake for 6 days. When an ER dr. notified him of my situation, Dr. Chew said to keep on taking the medication as prescribed. Why did Dr. Chew make me suffer? He almost killed me. The fact is that I have had over 40 seizures. I am going to an epilepsy clinic. Shame on you Mr. Chew!! You are very lucky my lawyer hasn't contacted you...yet. You made me a lot worse.

I have been seeing Dr. Chew for quite some time now through a referral for my migraines. I found him to be very helpful, informative and knowledgable. He answered all of my questions clearly. As a result after seeing Dr. Chew my migraines are under control due to his diagnosis and assistance. Thank you Dr. Chew you are an absolutely magnificent doctor and have helped me get my life back. From being waylaid once ot twice a month with a migraine for a week or more each time to being back in college full time and excelling. Thank you again

It's too bad people generally only respond to rate your md when they have problems or complaints. I found this doctor to be very courteous, informative and extremely knowlegeable in the subject of carpal tunnel syndrome. Since going to him for the initial stage of correcting my symptoms, I have had the surgery and have complete and total use of my left hand again.
