Dr. Ballinger introduced himself and then apologized in advance for sometimes hurting his patients. I have never met him before but I wanted to leave immediately. He seemed stressed and depressed. I told him I was anxious about the outcome as colon cancer runs in my family. So he made the decision to keep me awake for the entire procedure. It went instantly from very uncomfortable to extreme pain. It hurt so much I couldn't even scream. At one point, he started quietly grunting and the pain became everything. I must have be able to make a sound, because he apologized for getting the "loop stuck" in a tight spot? I am grateful to report no cancer - nothing sent to the lab. However, day 2 and the spot he "got stuck" burns and aches and reminds me 24/7 of the nightmare. On his report, nothing is mentioned about "getting stuck" and even says "the colonoscopy was performed without difficulty. The patient tolerated the procedure fairly well." I will never have another colonoscopy. I'd rather die than go thru that again.

Dr. Ballinger gives very scary advice. He almost killed me when dealing with my bowel obstruction. Told me I could eat whatever I wanted to. I am now in the hospital for the fourth time in 2 months. His colleagues are great though. He is hell on wheels. Stay far away from this doctor if you want to stay alive!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Ballinger is a very caring, knowledgable, and approachable physician. He also takes the time to explain procedures and outcomes thoroughly. Both my husband and myself see him regularly, and I would definitely recommend him!

Scheduled a screening that was turned into a proceedure that has had nightmare results and could not get a follow-up appointment to find out why. when I was finally granted an appointment, I was made to feel as though I was intruding into his time...even though he charged me for the office visit and I still had no answers for the new problems he created.
