All around terrible doctor. Doesn’t seem to listen, dismissive, seemed uncaring.

Would rate less than one star if I could. Been to my share of doctors over the years and this guy is by far the worst. Hands-down. No comparison. Maybe he should retire?

Very competent. Very polite. Fixed my leg problem after Hospitals in Toronto, Hamilton and London, ON made matters worse. With one look, Dr. Rattan diagnosed what's wrong, and found a solution. He is my top choice for orthopedic problems from that moment !!

Nav operated on a bunion of my big toe in his office, and it has done great, and that was in 2000. He was the doctor of our athletic club at that time. Years later after I retired, I injured my 2nd toe at a wedding and when got back to Alberta, I went to see him about it, in 2017. It was broken and swollen, and when he came into the room, he looked at me, (I was now retired and aging and heavier than last time he saw me) and said hello, and when I took off my sandal to show him the toe, he just simply glanced down at it , with no examination! He then told me to wrap it snugly to help it with healing and from being deformed! That was it!! And I have a bulged toe joint, that now causes some issues with foot wear! ???

Worst doctor ever, especially to women. A lot of these comments say he likes you in you are young and fit, well I think he likes them a lil too much. When I was 16 I went to him since I was having repeated chest pains from 10-16 years old. I finally decided to get it checked out and when he went to examine me he took off my shirt then proceeded to ask me to take my bra off to “properly” examine me. When I did, for what felt like an hour he then began to fondle my breasts there was no real exam ever done. Told me it was growing pains and asked me to leave. I left crying, I was a young girl, I felt humiliated and disgusted. But was told that’s how that exam would go. Fast forward 2 years when I was 18, I was notified that minors must be accompanied by a female nurse or someone else in the presence of the exam. In order to save the butts of doctors, while simultaneously creating a safer environment for young VULNERABLE girls. Now it’s 7 years since the incidence and it remains constantly in my brain. I was taken advantage of and after seeing all these reviews. I am glad I am not the only one who sees his true colours. I do not take matters like this lightly, and hate the people who cry wolf. It’s important to dethrone the people who think they have such power over individuals who may not have the same length of knowledge.

If you are thin, fit and compliant he might be tolerable. But if you are overweight, look out. I had plantar faciitis in one foot. ( forgive my spelling). He injected my foot with cortisone. The pain was out of this world. He walked out of the room and never returned. Will never be back to him, nor refer anyone to him.

Im from a different province and havw long history of knee issues, with a full diagnosis of what keeps causing the knee dislocations i have had and multiple surgeries. I went to see this dr as i have recently come to red deer for school, and injured my knee the school told me to go to the er. The er told me what i already knew about the instability, and referred me to him. I got in fairly quickly and was surprised only to be horrified by the experience of meeting him. After saying the sports clinic from the other province knew what they were doing, he didnt listen to me when i told him that clinic told me it would be continuing problem till i stop moving and arthritis can be added to the diagnosis, he didnt listen to me when i said what the er doctor said. He looked at me knee in which the moment wad in place and said it wad stable. He didnt try to manipulate it or move it or see me walking which then it would have been made clear it was not stable. Than he said it keeps dislocating because my muscle is weaker. While my muscle on the problematic leg is an issue its not the reason why according to the other clinic, and i have every day since i started doiing physio 10 years ago done exercises as much as i could sometimes pushing myself too hard not once slacking off. And ontop of exercises had to work out to keep my lifeguard training up. Instead he accused me i wasnt doing a good enough job i needed to try harder. Overall he didnt look at any mri's, he didnt look at the actual knee properly, he didnt actually get the proper history and he accused md that my injuries were my fault and i wasnt doing a good enough job trying to prevent them through physio. ( physio only does so much) honestly if this dr cares this little he shouldnt be allowed to have his liscence any more or practice as a physician. He can do real damage.

I had the displeasure of seeing Dr. Rattan. He was cold and dismissive. He didn’t not even examine my knee and then gave me two contradictory diagnosis. He talked in circles and was extremely rude. He said “ You have two torn ligaments but we won’t know if they are partially torn or totally torn without and MRI, we only do an MRI if we are expecting to do surgery but won’t do surgery unless they are fully torn. But we will never know if they are fully torn.” He then refused to do an MRI even though the physical therapist had already say this ligament feels completely torn…
He then walked out of the room… he didn’t answer any questions. I left feeling more confused and hopeless.
