Like many here, I echo that Dr. Chan is the best family doctor around, and for all these reasons mentioned. I've worked with many doctors in my medical research days, and I can attest that Dr. Chan is a wonderful person and professional.

He is normally behind the schedule. He is knowledgeable but very sensitive to refer you to a specialist.

Dr. Chan is the best family doctor I ever have. He is very patient, knowledgeable and compassionate. He always go above and beyond and work tirelessly. I do not mind that the waiting time is a little bit longer than expected sometimes, I understand that another patient is getting his full attention and care at the moment. He has a professional and dedicated team in the office as well.

I love Dr. Chan. I live in Chilliwack and come in to see him and always will (I pray he never retires). He is caring, thorough and always listens. Even though he is late a lot I know it's because he is giving his patients the best care. I never mind the wait and he does always apologizes for it.

Been a long time patient and my entire family of 5 plus a few other family members see him too. Yes, he runs behind schedule but....I get the care that I need and his dedication to our health as a patient group that he really cares for is amazing and admirable. Truest of professionals and definitely a skilled practitioner of medicine. Fearful for the day when he decides to retire. Impossible to replace.

I've been with Dr Chan for over 18 years now. I have moved from Coquitlam to South Surrey and work downtown Vancouver but I will not give my the best family doctor I have experienced...ever! He genuinely cares for his patients and diagnosis is spot on. Yes there are days I have to wait beyond my appointment time but I have also taken more time then I have booked for only because he is so thorough so who am I to complain. Rather wait and get the best assessment then get rushed through like other GP doctors do, which I hear a lot about from friends. Excellent team in the office as well!

I've worked with many doctors as a medical researcher and Dr. Chan is the best doctor I've seen - blending great knowledge with compassion, thoroughness and attentiveness. He has given me several diagnosis that needed to be confirmed by specialists and in each case his diagnosis was accurate. He is clearly a dedicated physician that is looking out for the patient. Ironically, it's because he cares and takes time for each patient that he is chronically late. Just call the office before you go to your appointment to see how far behind schedule he is, so you need not wait so long.
