She made my doctor send a referral 3 times, took her 2 weeks to review my case, and then said she wouldn't see me. Terrible process and lack of empathy.

I was very concerned about this doctor. I am a new patients and I attended the doctor twice in last 8 months. I paid cash $200 per visit (20 min each) which is not important at all. When I called her office on a friday for a prescription refill, she refused any refills unless I made an appt with her. My pharmacy called her over the weekend and she said the same thing. I am currenty out of my meds. What is important is her failure to understand that if her patient is out of their physciatric meds, it could be dangerous for the patient. I wanted to write this so that other patients don't go through what I went through

While she may be knowledgable, I seriously question a psych dr who makes a depressed patient wait in her waiting room for 45 minutes as routine. I would come "pulled together" and by the time she was ready to see me I would be a reck. Then, she would spend 30 minutes of our session only talking about herself. I thought it was some kind of test that she was doing to see how I would cope but after several sessions I determined that it was just Dr. Vilko being unprofessional.... Yes call me messed up for thinking that it was her testing me but then, I was there because my coping skills were in need of repair. - Shame on her.

Dr. Vilko is always ready to see her patients in an emergency. You never have to wait more than 24 hours. She is pleasant and careful with what medicines she prescribes. She takes the time to listen.

The Doctor is more knowlegeable about multiple body systems and co management of medications than any other Physician I have worked with. She is insightful and extremely smart.
