She rocks ! I was awake thru 3 procedures and could tell she is very skilled. Plus she's smart, helpful and funny. Super highly rated in my book.

I agree with other reviewers about Dr. Ehsan's temperament. She is very nice, spends time talking with you during the office visit, answering any and all questions, and talks FAST. Don't expect her to make casual conversation--she will pepper you with questions so that she can quickly ascertain what is going on and explain to you her recommendations. I've had a few times where it's hard to get a word in edgewise and she cuts me off assuming she knows what I am going to say, but it wasn't a big deal and I managed to get my questions addressed. She comes across as busy and trying to make the most of her time. Who can blame her.
I have had 2 procedures with her and they went smoothly. Surgery center staff were friendly and efficient but needed to be cued to bring my spouse back to see me. I was disappointed that Ehsan did not take the time to talk with my family while I was still in recovery. She talked with me after one procedure but not after the other.
Finally, my clinic experience: I have been consistently annoyed by Dr. Ehsan's office staff, who have failed to follow through with EVERY call they have promised. They did not call for 2 WEEKS to schedule my surgeries at the outset. Then, when I was informed they would call me 2 days post-op to check on me and schedule my follow-up visit, they did not do that either. Instead, I called them only to be told that Ehsan does not have appointment availability for my surgical follow-up during the time window indicated. In some circles, this is considered patient abandonment.
I am hopeful that so far, my surgical care has been good. I am still recovering and time will tell. In the future, I will heavily weigh my desire to have a female surgeon with the disappointing experience I have had--I have received much better care in general through Evergreen Health and may prioritize that over having a female surgeon in the future.

Dr. Ehsan is terrific--I'm having a really good experience with her. Her staff, on the other hand, are not very good. Very slow to return calls and poor responsiveness in terms of scheduling follow-ups. I feel pretty stuck--I want Dr. Ehsan to provide my care but her staff do not return calls!!!

My adult son with Asperger's went to Dr. Ehsan for pilonidal cyst removal. Dr. Ehsan was very patient and communicated calmly and addressed all of my son's fears. My son's condition was pretty advanced, with a fistula resulting from the cyst as well. Dr. Ehsan is warm, supportive and knowledgeable. My son's surgery and after care was exceptional. I highly recommend Dr. Mitra Ehsan, and will be making an appointment soon for my colonoscopy.

Went to her for a colonoscopy. She respected my wishes and allowed me to have one without any sedation. Not every physician will allow this due to fears that the patient will change their mind during the procedure or that they have to be much more careful as the patient will feel everything. She did a great job and the procedure wasn't unreasonably painful. Even though the preparation didn't work 100%, went through anyway clearing out what she could. Other doctors might have cancelled on the spot. I will have to have it done again in 3 years in case there's anything she missed due to the fecal matter. I will definitely return to this personable and caring doctor.

AMAZING DOCTOR!!! I am an RN so I am very picky when it comes to seeing physicians. She finally figured out what was going on with my body after having nearly a year of horrific symptoms. She corrected my problem with surgery. She was so great at the bedside in the hospital too. Highly recommend her!

Dr. Ehsan performed my surgery for a fistula after the delivery of my second child. I can't recommend her enough, she was wonderful. She is caring, thorough and brings a human component to procedures that no one wants to undergo. I highly recommend her.

Excellent colon/rectal surgeon - extremely knowledgeable, very warm and friendly, most pleasant demeanoor and does this for the love of it.
