Have full confidence in her. She does not hesitate to give a referral, unlike some Dr's that pretend to know everything.

I feel so fortunate to have Dr. Gazendam as my family physician. Wait time for appointments for myself and 5 other family members are always quick to get in to see her. She always seems to instantly have the correct answers and knows exactly who to send you to if required. She doesn't beat around the bush as she is serving many people with her expertise. Great Doctor and friendly, prompt and knowledgeable team of staff. I'd be very happy to have her look after myself, wife and four kids forever.

This Dr. Is not worth going to...she GASLIGHTS her patient and is very condescending and dismissive. Used to be a great doctor but last 3 years is the worst ever. She hides behind her poor secretary and bills for a telephone call, even though you never got to speak to her. She reorders meds and blood work without seeing patient x 3years!! Covid and new office changed her....she is selective, re her Covid beliefs, does not respect a patients choice. Very lazy and does not care....but loves that paycheck. She must remember, she is only a GP....thank God for specialists! She makes mistakes in meds...the pharmacists catch it....bad medical care from her...and she arrogantly does NOT care. Her condescending approach, speaking down to you like a child....is Gaslighting people. Look it up. I wish we could give zero. Very sad, as she used to be amazing

Dr. Gazendam and her staff are wonderful. During the Covid crisis , all staff in Healthcare were and still are, stretched to maximum capacity. I find her to take time with her patients and is caring, thorough and responsive. I am confident in her as a patient. Her secretary Nicole, is also warm, friendly and kind.

This once great Dr. Has slipped in all fields...I do not like her approach, she is not thorough, is lassez Faire, condescending and puts computer between patient and computer, Very disappointed in her as a Dr. Vey unhappy with a clerical staff giving test results, taking B/P and echoing Dr advice...instead of talking to patient...used to be unheard of as clerical is not allowed to do this year's ago, unethical...not a happy patient here.

Dr. Gazendam seems completely hesitant to issue tests, as if she was the personal guardian of Ontario's health spending.
She is condescending and dismissive.
Her secretary tries to dissuade any in-person visits and I had to call and ask for test results that were critical for next steps.
I have been with Dr. Gazendam for a very long time and was confident in her care until the last 2 yrs. Something has changed.

Gone to ten years....since new clinic she has majorly slipped, does no teaching and orders and all communication comes from a secretary...used to trust her, now not. If I need answers I go to my pharmacist who I have known 10 years. Dr. Gazendam is not the Dr she was. She made a major med mistake on my husband..his renal Dr. and pharmacist stopped it. From now on I am trusting my new specialist, as Dr Gazendam is just a "GP"... Too limited for complex patients

Dr. Gazendam is excellent - all what you want in an MD, kind, warm and very smart. . Just hard to get a hold of her medical secretary, who is overworked. Great allied staff as well, the NP and RD. Makes use of RNs to do PAPs for example, which is great. It can take a long time to get an appointment once you call up and can only address one issue at a time for the most part. Renee is very friendly and kind, but can talk too long on the phone, which keeps the phone line busy. I think an RN should be giving the results of blood tests or X rays s to a patient, not the medical secretary.

I find the new office and the way Mary Kate runs her professional business to be extremely inconvenient for the patient. She has taken on too much and is unable to provide the care she once did.
She has you seeking care from several people, utilizing the health care resources however, this can and often is very inconvenient for the patient; if the patient needs a note the NP can’t sign it, the RN is unable to order bloodwork as it’s not within their scope, and you can only see Mary Kate for one issue and she rushes you out within the 15 minute time frame. Often, patients end up coming back to the office three /four times with the same concerns.
Tell me how that’s more convenient and a better use of my time and health care resources.
But she is able to bill for all of it.

This system she has now is more convenient for her. That’s it.
