I was one of his first of 5 to do the front approach for hip surgery and it turned out well. Until he did my 2nd hip in 2023, wow.... he had learned how to do it. Amazing! I will say he cared about me more in the 1st surgery. The 2nd surgery, he couldn't care less, he knew I could do it on my own.

Dr F replaced both of my knees. Both are doing well. Having had both knees replaced I know they take along time for healing, you have to be patient. You also have to do your due diligence before and after regarding exercise if you want good results. . Last time I saw him, I was visiting in the waiting room with two different patients. Both had had TKR and were having trouble. Both were over weight and inactive. Dr F is the best orthopaedic surgeon in the world as far as I am concerned. My husband is now scheduled to get his knees replaced by him.
My only complaint is he is always late when you have an appointment with him. He is a very busy doctor. Having said that, I was told that it would be a 2 year wait for TKR. Both times it was a year only.

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Fernhout. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Makes sure he answers all you questions and do not rush you. I had multiple fractures in wrist from a sports injury that required surgery with plate and screws. Surgery went well and healing is on track. The staff around Dr. Fernhout are also great. Dr. Fernhout even took extra care in putting my tattoo back together as best as he could after cutting through it :)

Amazing doctor. Diagnosis was avascular necrosis of both hips, referred to Dr. Fernhout. He replaced both hips in one surgery. Pain is gone and I can walk again. So thankful for his awesome surgical skills.
