Dr. McCutcheon has been our family of 5's Dr. for years and we have never had a problem. She is Always friendly and takes her time with you. If I have been overly concerned about something she never hesitates to refer us to a specialist. Of course I have had some long waits, but then again I have gotten right in too. I love her staff! I am there for an appointment and to see the Dr and that is exactly what they do! Remember, these girls are VERY busy, dont be offended when they cant stop and chat with you.

I went to see Dr. McCutcheon and I clearly had something wrong, because I was severely swollen and could barely walk because of how swollen I had become and she sent me away told me it "was nothing to be concerned about" then told me to take a couple advil. I added up in the emergency room because of this of this and the doctors told me I was lucky that I came in when I did or else it could have been 1000 times worse. I will never go back to see McCutcheon she is so unknowledgeable and careless.

My very elderly grandmother asked her if she should go off all her meds - blood pressure meds, water pills, etc etc. Dr McCutcheon said Sure why not. However, she also took her off an antidepressant cold turkey. Within days my grandmother, who is in her late 90s, went from relatively sharp and happy to praying to be taken in her sleep because she just didnt want to go on. We couldnt book an appointment to get back in to see the doctor for ages, which of course is the case with all doctors I suppose, but in the mean time my grandmother declined more. She became highly anxious and depressed. When we finally got her back onto her anti-depressant, it took several weeks for her to start to pep up again, and now, after a couple of months, I still don't feel she's the same. I understood that no one should ever just stop an antidepressant over night, and it is necessary to ween off them. Wouldnt that be more true for an extrememly delicate elderly patient? Not impressed.

After years of being sick & unable to work, an outpatient doctor referred me to a specialist that helped me greatly. I was advised VERY SERIOUSLY to go to my family doc. for testing on a regular schedule,to ensure the harsh medication I was on was not destroying other parts of my body/organs (a known side effect) Dr. McCutcheon refused to see me this often, as she thought it was not worthwhile, instead scheduling me for Only 1 test after 4 months and then stopping testing altogether. Now I am trying to get her to refer me back to the specialist (because I am supposed to see him yearly) and he only see's patients that have referrals from thier family docs. It has now been over 2 years since I have seen him. I also find Dr. McCutcheon's knowledge lacking, as a med. I was on was causing an odd side effect (though I didn't now it) I asked her if it could be because of the new med. and she said it was not, later I asked the pharmacist who ensured me that it was a very common sideeffect

I am sorry to say that Dr McCutcheon was not a very good dr for me . I was sick for over two years and she wouldn't do nothing .needless to say I almost died and she didn't seem to care at all.I refused to go back to her and in doing so I have the best Dr in town. She refused to believe that there was anything wrong with me ...I think she thought it was all in my head.So those of you that say she is great, I am happy you are .

Dr McCutcheon came to our town and had to fill a pair of big shoes. She took the place of the best doctor this town ever had. Taking on some tough patients and thier families he had to leave to her care, I think she is doing a great job!!! Yes, even I have questioned some of her diagnoses, and when I did, she listened to me and NEVER made me feel like I wasnt being listened to. If I asked to see a specialist, I went. As for compassion, this woman has been my childrens,my syblings,my father and my own doctor since she took over for our previous Dr and when ANYONE passed away in our family, she not only came to the wake but called us to see if we needed to talk or come see her! My Grandmother was dieing in the hospital and Dr McCutchen came to see her everyday even when her own family docotr didnt!!! EVERYDAY FOR 7 DAYS til she passed. I for one am thankful she is here and is my doctor!

Dr McCutcheon is a good doctor, but her staff sucks. They are very cold and unfeeling. It doesn't matter how good she is as a doctor, the whole patient physician visit is so much worse when her staff treats you like dirt. I like the doctor, she's great, just get someone new on the front desk...please. Someone with at least some kind of compassion.

Don't expect an unbiased approach to birth control. Doesn't personally approve of IUDs. I asked for one (had very good experience using this previously) and was told (in disapproving tones) that the egg doesn't implant but it is still fertilized by the sperm. I thought I was in a Monty Python sketch (every sperm is sacred!). I was over thirty-five and a college graduate ... I'm aware of how an IUD works and wanted one. At her insistence, I tried the pill (for the tenth time). Had the break-through bleeding I've had every time I've tried the pill but with severe cramps and a lot of bleeding. Asked to get a tubal ligation at age forty (with three healthy kids) and was advised to wait until I was in a serious relationship ... after all "he" might want kids. Sure, my reproductive choices are less important than the fatherly aspirations of some guy I haven't met yet. A word of caution is one thing (it's supposed to be permanent, after all) but to have to beg for a referral for months... ?
