I went in to get help with neck/arm pain and numbness that's been ongoing for the past year. I told him all the treatments I've tried (Ibuprof, ice/heat, massages, etc. ) I saw him for 5 minutes before he told me to take ibuprofen or get a massage then it should just go away on its own. I repeated I've tried those and he said hmm it should work itself out. Then said
"Okay. Thanks." and left me in the room by myself... I waited for 5 minutes before leaving because I didn't know if we were done or not. The front desk also seemed surprised at how fast the appointment was. I left without help, without answers, and paid good money for nothing!

M. Mathews (I refuse to call him Dr.) isn't just a bad doctor, he's a bad person. When I addressed my daughter's bout with iron overload he denied her injury. It didn't stop there, as he proceeded to become very hostile. His denial of her condition has not come with any proof or documentation of any kind, only his assurance that iron overload can't cause neuropathy (which it can and did cause). Our choice as parents not to vaccinate has been the cause of his foul demeanor from the first visit to the last. The problem with Mr. Mathews is that he lives on a different planet where he is your benevolent, all-knowing master. I strongly reccomend finding a medical practitioner with a sense of humility for the sake of one's children.

Dr.Mathews misdiagnosed a melanoma on my leg and also misdiagnosed my Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.Thankfully there were other UN MC physicians who diagnosed my cancers correctly.

Dr. Mathews is wonderful and so is his staff. He takes the time to fully answer all of your questions and was extremely knowlegeable. If you are looking for an alternative to an OB for your prenatal care, he's your guy. He will make sure you have the best care without imposing any unnecessary interventions on you.
