Walks out of exam room while patient is in the middle of question. First visit I asked a question and he got up and left, after 10 min. of waiting the nurse brought in another patient and wondered why I was still there. Had a severe shoulder injury and instead of referring to a surgeon gave a series of 3 cortisone shots, between his delay to refer and the surgeon's schedule it took a year before major surgery performed. Also sent me to physio without ordering a MRI and they wouldn't do much unless I had a MRI. Next problem, I needed knee replacement, again did anything except refer me to surgeon. I called the surgeon I had shoulder surgery with and he got me in ASAP for full knee replacement. Haven't heard from Eddington since. 6 months later my knee showed signs of infection, called his office and he told me through the receptionist that was surgeon's problem. Arrogent, poor bedside manner should have chosen a different career, like research or pathology.

Very condescending...treats you like you are an idiot and he is far superior. Walks away from you when you are talking.

Incredibly slow to get the room always, draws stick figures to explain prognosis (which I found to be neither helpful or accurate) pokes and prods which proves to be very painful. Condescending and bed-side manner is lacking.

Dr Edington used to be my doctor, but have since switched to my husbands doctor. Dr Edington never wants to give referals, even when asked for one, would rather try everything under the sun first (even if they are not working). Walks out before you are finished asking questions, and you always feel rushed, and like he doesnt really care about your problem. I hope I never have to have him in emergency, or to deliver future children.

Two weeks after breaking my collarbone I was still in enormous pain and went to the emerg in Hanover. Dr. Edington practically ripped off my sling, not caring that I was there due to extreme pain. He didn't ask any questions, just started prodding the area. He said there shouldn't be any pain. I couldn't sleep at night due to the pain, that's why i was there. The nurses asked more questions about my condition than the Dr. He ordered an x ray. He felt I shouldn't have any medication for pain and shouldn't be wearing a sling at all. This is the third time I've broken my collarbone and this pain is not normal. Dr. Edington was no help at all.

Seems very disinterested in patient. Exams superficial at best. Follow up visits are not timely or very helpful. Three questions and you're done. Has walked out in the middle of a question.

Thought that I just wanted time off work. Didn't even see me the first night/day that I was admitted to the hospital, I guess that being a patient of his practice gave me no extra TLC. Also loves to push pills as to get to the bottom of the problem, as many do, the drug companys must be throwing in some extra incentive these days. Also make sure you have your three questions ready to ask. You have ten quality minutes to have your three questions not answered, due to the his ego getting in the way. As he will not have a regular person off the street test him of the knowledge he has attained. Maybe he does have a lot of patients, but why have too many! As most will say this is a small town, and hard to bring new doctors.

After an MVA I went to the hospital in Hanover with a visibly swollen neck, I could barely open my mouth and had a hard time swallowing (all very typical symptoms of whiplash which I learned later). Dr. Edington had me place my interlaced hands on my head, then thumped (OUCH!) my hands with a closed fist twice before pronouncing that I definitely "did not" have whiplash, and to go home and take Advil for a couple of weeks. Needless to say I was soon diagnosed with WAD 2 and 3 and spent many long months in therapy. I am still burdened with pain and it looks like my injury will remain a part of my life. A very disinterested Doctor. Very unhelpful and uninformed.

When I was pregnant with my second child, I switched dr's from Dr. Edington. With my first who was severely tongue tied, he kept telling us "he will outgrow it"! He didn't and had to have TWO surgeries to correct it. Plus my second child has a very rare disases and I am sure that if this doctor was still our doc, we still wouldn't know yet!! You can have all the knowledge in the world, but when your bedside manner and personality aren't good...what good is the knowledge!!

I really like him as a family doctor. He was great for the delivery of my son and since his birth has been very good with any questions or concerns I have with my son! I just hate the fact that you have to wait so long to get an appointment and when you do get one you wait too long to see him. But he is a very busy Doctor and I give him credit for all the work he does. I don't think people realize how buzy our local doctors are in such a small town
