Dr. Edington had filled in for the delivery of my 2nd son when my other doctor went on holidays. After 3 inductions I had begged him for a C-section (since I had 3 inductions for my first born), he refused and I ended up having 6 inductions in total over the span of just over a week, and then another for the placenta to be removed. My newborn son had seizures within hours of being born and had to be sent to a larger hospital where he underwent several spinal taps and other tests. I strongly feel that if Dr. Edington had listened to my concerns and had done the C-Section when requested that my son would not have had this problem. Due to the numerous seizures he had after birth, his brain functioning has forever been compromised and he has and will always have a learning disability. The nurse on staff after my son's birth was useless as well, since I had called her during a grand-mal seizure my son was having and she told me "it's just baby twitches" instead of calling for the doctor who was in the next room. It wasn't until hours later after the nurse shift change when my concerns were finally heard by the next nurse. After that immediate action was taken and we were rushed to a larger hospital.

Doctor Eddington was my doctor for 6 years and now that I've moved away, I am still going to see him. His STAFF overbooks him and when you are very clear about what you need from him he is quite responsive and knowledgeable. A woman had a crying baby? What kind of response do you expect. Be reasonable and clear in your expectations. His bedside manner is not stellar but I'd rather he be efficient with me than coddle me. He's always gone out of his way for me in regards to my concerns.

What is this walking out of the room suddenly. I feel his head is somewhere else when I do finally get to see him. I have a problem with repeat pneumonia and am always feeling tired. Would like to see a specialist but he doesnt here me. He is so dis-interested in his patients now. Burn-out?

I snapped the left hand bone off the side of my right ankle. He decides to cast it. Doesn't tell me I can get a fiberglass cast for $50(which my benefits will pay for anyway). He has them put a 20lb cast on my leg. I carry it around all summer and it screws up my right hip. When he takes it off he says "oh look it didn't work". I go to the Orthopedic surgeon and the first words out of his mouth are quote "Who the f__k casted that" second words "forget it I don't want to know". For me it was a re-break and install plate. Six months after breaking it I am cast-less again. On the plus side he is very skilled at doing things like installing an epidural or stint and that sort of thing. As a person his head is really in the clouds.

Doctor Edington, has been my doctor for about 5 years. I cannot be more pleased with him. He is always helpful and always takes time to answer any questions I have. Though it is sometimes hard to get an appointment he has always been there for me and my family.

He doesn't listen, he doesn't give answers, and doesn't seem to care. I was his patient for about 20 years and every time I had an appointment he would ask me who my doctor is, and I had to tell him it was him. Always in a hurry to get out of the room. While delivering our son he did everything wrong, and because of this our son has cerebral palsy. We have switched doctors and could not be happier.

He's my family doctor, didn't have too many problems until a pregnancy this past year. He delivered my previous two children and has been my doctor for 20 years - seemed to not even remember me. I have a very cranky and irritable baby now, and everytime I ask him about her he asks me what I think. I'm not the doctor, so when I say I don't know he sort of trails off and ends the appointment there. Just got home from the ER with my son who have a really bad skin infection in his foot, Dr. Edington left for two hours before seeing us, I sat there a total of 3 hours with a crying 4 month old baby and my tired 5 year old son. He finally got back, spent not even 5 minutes on us. The trip took 3 hours total and there wasn't even anyone else ahead of us!

Have found that he has created more problems for me than has helped. I think as a GP he is not very good, but I must say in the OR he is a great anasteciologist. Have left his office many times more frustrated than when I went in. I truly think that he should practice more in the OR.

I would recommend him to treat a worm! My mother-in-law, now age 90 was supposed to have a new doctor after her own doctor retired earlier this year. We filled out the papers, handed them in, and did not hear one word from him. We were also told 2 stories. First one from sister-in-law,"I was told Edinton was her doctor." My story, "Office told me the never received her papers for Dr. Edington." She is now excitedly happy with her new doctor in Walkerton.
