Dr. Richards is thorough and leaves no stone unturned. However, I have been a patient for 20 years, and her staff and their customer service is deplorable. They are rude and argumentative and inefficient. Her office is unresponsive to requests for file information. Recently Dr. Richards added a negative to request for information for my life insurance policy. Information that has not been provided to me. Resulting in having more invasive procedures. Further in attempting to seek a new doctor, her office took her office 6 mths & 2 requests to respond, and now they are trying to charge me almost $500.00, I am not a sickly person, so I don't know where this price comes from, because they did not provide a breakdown. So I called the office of the Physician & Surgeons at 416 967-2603. You should too, if you have had similar experiences. Maybe if she started paying appropriately, she would get qualified and professional staff. Very DISATISFIED.

Dr. Richards is extremely thorough and competent but her office is very poorly coordinated. After Grace (more of a Dis Grace) left I had hope that the front desk would be better managed. Alas, this is not the case. She has been my doctor for over 10 years and a better doctor would be hard to find, but, I am going to have to seek one. Since May 2012 I have been trying to get an appointment with her and have obviously not been successful. The new staff, especially Onetta, while not lacking in good manners as (Dis) Grace was, is not much of an improvement on her. And, the bane on her practice still continues. Wait times if anything, have gotten worse! Had a 9:15 appointment but left at 11:45 WITHOUT SEEING HER. INTOLERABLE! I was suppose to reach work at 11 but did not arrive until 1. All that time wasted! As much as I hold her in high esteem, I am "divorcing" her. My time is just as valuable as as hers or anyone else. Time management and better coordination is needed in her practice.

I thought I was alone in my frustration but I see I'm not. I, too, have to pack a lunch and bring stuff to do because I know I will be waiting to see the doctor for two hours or longer. I love the doctor. She's the best I've ever had but allowing patients to wait two hours is a show of disrespect for the patient's time. I had a situation where my son and I arrived at the lab during the Christmas break for blood work and glucose test that the doctor had ordered (took day off work, son on school break, fasting, perfect). I get turned away by the lab staff because the doctor had given the lab direction not to process any blood for her patients while she was on vacation. When I asked the lab staff what differece was it to the doctor when we did our blood, they could only shrug their shoulders. I ended up taking another day off work and taking my son out of school for three hours to do the blood/glucose test when SHE was back from vaction. I need to find a new doctor.

Dr. Richards is a great doctor. I've been to many, and she is the best I've seen so far. She is very thorough and careful, unlike many doctors who are always rushing through appointments. She obviousy cares about her patients and I appreciate this greatly. The waiting times are long, but it is well worth it. Her previous receptionist, who was quite unpleasant is no longer there, so hopefully things will be getting better and more organized soon. I don't blame Dr. Richards for that, it was obviously the fault of her secretary. I would highly recommend her to anyone, nobody's perfect, but in terms of the actual care you receive from her, she's pretty close. A very nice lady.

Dr. Richards is a preventitive doctor which requires more work sometimes. As someone who worked with her briefly, I can say that she knows her stuff. However, I disagree with the waiting times that patients have to wait to see her. The reason why someone sees a doctor is to seek help not waste 3 hours of their time. Secondly, it's rude to make patients wait because they have to pay rediculous amount of money for parking. Third, I disagree with people who are making bad comments about her staff. Simple rule is this, if employees are appreciated then they work well but if they are under appreciated then they will not go out of their way. As for the negative comments about Grace, I disagree. I have dealt with her in the past and I think she does a good job considering how many task she is being given in one day and the fact that she gets interrupted every 10 minutes to performa new task. Yes the doctor is good but remember her staff cannot do more than what they are allowed to do!

I moved to Brampton 2 years ago. In these last 2 years, I had to seek medical help from walk in clinics because of the outrageous waiting time. Today I decided to give it another try, and called for a physical. Her secretary said that I cannot be booked anymore, and she did not give me any reason. She (Grace) is the most rude and inconsiderate person I have ever seen and met. If anyone can avoid Dr Richards' service, please do it for your own peace of mind.

Dr Richards is a very nice Dr. but wow her staff isn't very nice at all. Grace is the worst receptionist I have even met. I can never get an appointment when I need it for my son. If he is sick, I shouldn't have to wait 2 or 3 days to get him into see the Dr. Half the time she doesn't answer the phone and when she does she usually puts you on hold for awhile. Most times when I get there for my appointment, Grace signs in people before me even though they came after me and their appointment was after mine! I have took it upon myself to find a new Dr. because of her staff and long wait times. It's sad because she is a great Dr. but she isn't worth losing a days pay!!! Sorry Dr. Richards!!

I have been a patient for many years. I understand what people are saying about the staff, but I stay because of the dr. She has on many occasions been very thorough which I can say probably saved my life. I dont like getting a call to say results are in & when I show up, they cant find them, and I go out to a parking ticket on my car, because the wait was long.. for nothing. But as a dr. I think SHE'S GREAT!!

Dr. Richards is a quality MD, however, I have now made the decision to actively seek another. Whenever I have had an appt with her I have to mentally prep myself for a test in extreme patience! In the early yrs the wait was bearable, as her support staff were competent & courteous - but now - ugh!! Grace, her receptionist is the most infuriating. Today I was scheduled for an 11:30 orthotics fitting. I got there at 11:29 and was informed the specialist had already left! Led to believe by Grace that the incompetence was on the part of the specialist, I called to follow up with his staff & was informed that he was told 11 not 11:30. Grace then spent the next 20 minutes avoiding me, ignoring my questions & tending to other patients. Where she could have quite simply dissolved my frustration by taking ownership, rather she chose the unprofessional route. Dr. Richards was present and took no action, her silence bore support to this lack of professionalism & my search for another MD.

Wonderful physician with a great bed-side manner. I never feeling as though it was a wasted trip. However, her front staff require much training in customer service.
