Absolutely terrible doctor. Zero punctuality, usually over an hour wait for your appointment. Very dismissive of you are not a senior. Will not disclose diagnoses or look into an issue until it becomes extreme, then tells you just to go to urgent care. Terrible availability as well. Overall an awful experience and I'm thrilled that I switched to a new caring doctor. My entire family and everyone I know who has had him has switched.

Dr Shankardass had been my family doctor for more than 40 years. Always thoughtful, open to discussion, and I have never felt rushed. Definitely knowledgeable and highly patient centred. Usually very punctual; sometimes 15-20 wait.

Just an an all around awful person. Interrupts, talks down to and belittles his parients. I've never left a meeting with him not feeling like trash. On top of that, he doesn't know ANYTHING which is probably why he tries to make his patients feel stupid. Karma will get him.

Incredibly hard to get a hold of. He never calls back when his staff says he will. Incredibly rude and dismissive. Even more disrespectful towards females patients (our family has talked about this with someone else who has the same problem). He should honestly retire and let someone who cares for patients and still have some passion take over. Honestly our healthcare system would be better if he died/retired. Either one would be fine with me.

My mother has been aware of Dr. Shankardass for over 15 years. Now that she has moved to Brantford, we contacted Dr. Shankardass and she and my sister are new patients. He immediately provided requisitions for blood work, x-rays and their clinical files from the previous doctor in Ajax. He contacted my mother on a SUNDAY, which is unheard of to request a further x-ray. He is friendly, kind and thorough. She is very happy with Dr. Shankardass.

Brilliant asks precise questions listens from his wide knowledge and compassion. Clearly committed to serving and healing. Makes appropriate referrals quickly. Offers compassion when life happens tragically. My husband and I are confident of our wellbeing as patients in his practice. His office staff are smart competent and follow up quickly to our calls.

Dr Shankardass is my family doctor for the past 25 years .He has excellent knowledge and very extensive experience . He is always gentle and pleasant .I will be disappointed when he retires.

I am amazed by some of these comments. I have never had an issue with Dr Shankardass. In fact, I have moved out of town & continue to keep him as my doctor for both myself & my daughter. He sees me typically within 24hrs of a call, when necessary. His staff is typically very accommodating. He is sometimes in a rush, i will give ppl that, however he does listen & give you an explanation of diagnosis/ send you for test/referrals when needed. VERY GOOD DR compared to others ive seen in walkin clinics, etc. I will be disappointed when he retires.
