I started seeing Dr. Montiel a few months ago. I was referred by an ortho surgeon for injections in my cervical disks. I am very happy with Dr. Montiel and his staff. They listen. He has now taken over pain management for my whole spine which is degenerating secondary to fused scoliosis. He took the time to order all my previous test results and he studied them carefully. He has even been doing research to see if there is an alternate treatment for my thoracic disks. He and his staff treat me like a human being. They really try to understand my situation. I am more greatful than I can put into words. I highly recommend this doctor to chronic pain patients.

I don't know where to begin! I have been seeing Dr.Montiel for the past 2 months. I have seen others in the area and they don't even start to be as good as him. I was sent by Dr.Ryan for a specific nerve root epidural. His nurse Celia is the greatest! Professional but very sweet. Dr. Montiel explained what he was going to do and how, what to expect for the first few days after the shot. He made me feel like a human being and any questions I had he was more than willing to answer, and he put it in layman terms so I would understand. Nurse Celia put in an IV of fluids and even gave me a little shot in the vein to numb it before inserting. NO ONE has EVER done that before. She made sure I was comfortable on the table, and then doc came in and gave me the numbing shot and asked if I needed more just tell him. He then had the nurse move the machine until he had a good view of the nerve. He told me what he was doing at all times. I admit it wasn't painless but just knowing he and the nurs
