Dr. Lonser took care of my mother with gentleness and compassion. His gifted hands relieved her of pain she has experienced since she was a teenager. He is a great listener and very attentive to the needs and desires of his patients. I highly recommend him to anyone I meet who is complaining of pain. I am grateful his office is located here in Anchorage. He is well worth the drive or the flight or whatever it takes to see him.

During our 1st visit, I told Dr. Lonser who my other spine dr was and that his opinion was that surgery was my only option. Dr. Lonser suggested a spinal epidural and I scheduled the 1st available appt. I asked for pain meds for a long flight I had to take that evening and never asked for refills. During my 3rd visit, I was asked to give a drug test although I never had to before. Dr. Lonser confronted me with info that he'd found out that I saw another spine dr on the same day as our 1st visit. Without asking me to explain, he arrogantly told me that I would no longer be a patient of his. I didn't realize seeking his 2nd opinion would cast suspicion on me as a drug abuser. He treated me poorly and jumped to false conclusions. He cast such a negative opinion of me after ONE request for pain meds for a very short duration before he could treat me in any other way. He should have respectfully discussed the situation with me prior to harsh judgment.
