I went to my first OB appt and all was well. We were so thrilled as I had undergone 3 failed IVF cycles in the past year and we got pregnant on our OWN!! My husband and I joked and laughed with Dr.Schwarz and everything was great. I told him I was spotting a few days prior and "I" asked if we could do an u/s. Two days later I had the u/s and there was no fetal heartbeat at 10 weeks. The tech called him in and he told me the bad news. He then tells me he can do a d/c in the OFFICE! I was so devastated by the news but I still thought that it was a bit strange. I have had 3 failed IVF cycles and now he wants to torture me some more by having the procedure done while I'm AWAKE! Haven't I suffered enough! Needless to say I called my RE and she said to have it done in the hospital and that is what I did. He never called me after the procedure and I thought that it was so heartless and not caring of him. The whole process was handled poorly and I am not returning to him EVER again!

This by no means is a reflection on the entire practice! The other doctors are true professionals, and the nurses and technicians are great! Unfortunately, there is also Dr. Schwartz on board! He lacks manners and the sense of professionalism that should be innate in all doctors. Maybe this latest financial meltdown effected his retirement plans because its was obvious to me that he wished he was anywhere else besides talking to another patient. He couldn't be bothered with my questions or concerns, and needless to say, this can be very upsetting and frustrating to a patient. I wish for him a speedy retirement!

This rating is for Dr. Schwarz and his entire practice. While I found each doctor's general personality to be ok, and I dealt with the waiting time for my turn at each visit- I was utterly disappointed and surprised when I was told at my 32 week sonogram that the baby was sideways and that they immediately said that I would need to have a c-section. The practice does not believe in "turning babies" although one of the doctors said that she had done it many times as a resident but the practice will not do it. Rather than telling me various options and/or possible complications, I received a call scheduling the c-section for when it was convenient for them-- RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS. This had nothing to do with me at all. I left the practice at 34 weeks and found another group that took wonderful care of me-- SChwarz never even followed up to see if I found another practice-- they knew I left them but had no concern if I was receiving care anywhere else. Horrible experience.

Dr. Schwartz delivered two of my three daughters (one was born while he was away so a partner delivered her). He is a wonderful doctor, very patient and compassionate. My youngest daughter was born after I had suffered two miscarriages. So, I was very nervous throughout the whole nine months that something was going to do wrong. Dr. Schwartz did his best to calm my fears and never made me feel like I was over-reacting. He does not dismiss anything as minor. My only gripe is the location of his office. He's in the hospital, so it's a hassle finding parking. Of course if you're having a problem, it's a great location.

I had a horrible experience while already going through a difficult time. I had a miscarriage and required a d & c. He was cold and I felt he was misleading with information regarding my options.I am not returning to this practice.

He is not willing to listen to patient's wishes. Very old school. Time to retire. I would never go back to that office.

At first, I thought he was the sweetest and kindest man ever, until the day of my daughter's birth. He made me feel so upset that I was even crying as he was performing my C-section. Because I did not expect my water to break 2 months prior my due date, I was at work and after lunch I realize my water broke. I was rush into HUMC and when Dr. Schwarz showed up he ask if I had eaten anything and I replied yes. Then it was all down hill from there. He was rude, obnoxious, whining, and making sarcastic remarks to how I should have known to not eat prior to the C-section. NOW HOW IS ANYONE SUPPOSE TO KNOW WHEN THEIR WATER BREAK!? I could not believe how mean he was, and on top of that, after the surgery was over I was told by the covering dr. that he had put so much staples on my opening. It was painful dealing with pulling all those out. Thank goodness my baby girl was alright, and I also had Dr. Geraldis take over who was soooooo much nicer and sweet. I just hope no one goes through this.

I LOVE Dr. Schwartz! He makes you feel so comfortable. Even though I only see him once a year, he remembers things and will ask about them which is really nice. He is very kind and gentle and professional. The only negative thing I can say is that as a precautionary measure, he always has a female nurse in the exam room with him. I wish they would give you a choice because there are some personal questions that I rather speak to him about without having another person present. But, overall, I would highly recommend him.
