The main nurse is a total B. I complained on the phone once and she wrote everything down and then preceded to read it in front of the younger Dr. Holleman, Goracio and the new intern nurse. They had left me hanging for 10 days without calling me back with an emergency. I called every other day, but by the 10th day they called me back and said you will just have to wait to see the Doc on monday (5 Days from when she finally called, so 15 in total) Felt like i was dying. I have always taken my pills as prescribed and am courtesy to all of the stuff (Goracio loves me and always goes to bat for me)
If you go to this doctor demand that you see Jay Holleman III - He is much more practical and open to new ideas and discussions about what works best for you. His father seems to just kind of wing it and puts you on entirely too much medicine.
At one point he had me on 40mg of Subutex, 2400 mg Gabapentin, 3mg Klonopin, 800mg Ibuprofen, 50mg Baclofen, then I got in a head on collision and broke a tone of bones and the idea was well subutex doesn't do much with long term chronic pain so lets switch you to methadone at 60mg a day. I hated it and the next month I went back I had gone through 3 days of withdrawal to get the methadone off my receptors and reinitiated myself on suboxone. I go to the next visit 8 days after the transition and my UA showed Methadone and Subutex. The older Dr. Holleman said he has to stay on methadone, even thought he promised me this would only be a one month trial to see if it worked better but I hated it.
And the most unprofessional thing I have ever seen at a doctors office is when horacio is seeing and carolyn comes back and jiggles the door handle or slams the door to tell horacio to hurry. I have never in all my life seen that level of unprofessional.
If you go, see horacio or the younger Jay Holleman III
