Updated review- I have had Dr.Swartz as my family Doctor for now 5 years and I still do not have any complaints. He has been patient with me and all types of issues I have had and has sent me for tests and referrals when needed. He is a great and knowledgeable doctor and a huge reason why I don’t want to move is because I don’t think I would be able to find another doctor like him. Very appreciative of his service

First time seeing him at the walk in clinic at Easthill in Red Deer. He was very patient with all of my questions, and took the time to answer them thoroughly and in a way I would understand. The blonde receptionist at the front was one of the friendliest I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with at this clinic. Thank you to both for taking good care of me!

I know some people have had really good experiences but he truly made me feel like I wasn’t important. He ruled out one thing but didn’t investigate further even though I had been born with medical problems with these same issues. This wasn’t the first time that he brushed off my problem either; a year ago I was having numbness in my foot and leg where it was extremely bad and he did nothing. Didn’t even try any neurological tests. Will never go back and will never recommend.

I had seen Dr Swarts back in 2005 till 2007 when I left Ab. Came back in 2018 and have been seeing him since. I do not think that anyone could find a better doctor even if they tried. Dr. Swarts is knowledgeable, patient and has always been open to sending one for further tests. A very thorough doctor and I could not be more grateful to have him as a doctor. I would not even think about leaving the area as I doubt I would ever find another doctor to take his place.

So very grateful to have Dr.Swartz as my family doctor. Patient caring and knowledgeable. I moved from out of province with complications. He is always understanding and explains everything to me. Thank you Doctor Swartz for being you! The poor reviews mean nothing to me!!

This doctor was very rude to me! I came in looking for help with a doctors note. He refused to give me a doctor note, listen to why I needed one, or answer any of my questions. He was very fast to check me over for a infection and very quick to write a prescription for a medication, but no doctors note. Told me I needed to talk to someone else and would not listen to me at all.

This is the worst walk-in clinic I have ever been to in my life. This is not meant as a reflection of Dr. Swarts. It is a reflection of his staff who are never on the same page and speak to you in a rude and condescending manner. I just came from there and have an appointment at 3:00 PM. When I asked questions once I stated that I keep getting conflicting information, I was spoken to in the same condescending manner I have been previously and was accused of being heated, which I was not. A guy behind me tried getting involved in an attempt to intimidate me and said the woman (supervisor) was his wife. I had to tell her to put her husband in line as she had no obvious intent to do so. I called a little while ago to see where I need to go OUTSIDE of the clinic to lodge a complaint and the SAME woman would not give me the information and was trying to push me not to come to my appointment. I said that I WILL be at my appointment and will only speak to them when I check in. I then said I’ll get the information I’m seeking by other means. Unreal.

I honestly love Dr Swarts. He has gone above and beyond for me on more than one occasion in trying to get my needs met. He is passionate about his patients. He took me on when I couldn't find a family doctor and I've not looked back. I moved from out of province with complex needs and so it took a bit to get things set up but he did a lot to get that moving and sorted out for me. The staff are good. They understand some things about me to help make my wait more comfortable and most of them know me and are able to direct me appropriately. I'm certainly glad to have him in my corner!

I've been seeing Dr Swarts for the last 5 years and have been very happy. He is always willing to listen and discuss treatments and options. If he's not sure, he doesn't hesitate to have you see a specialist. One thing I found is they have their own go to specialists and if you want to see someone of your choice you have to be pretty persistent. Other than that, he's a great doc and I would highly recommend him.
