He is the reason my son is alive and a happy healthy teenager today. I will never forget the care he provided during my pregnancy and a challenging birth. He consulted with experts in Calgary and always kept me informed. He followed all of my wishes as best as he could and made me the proud mom of a beautiful boy. Enjoy your retirement.

I was referred to him by my gp. I saw him in March - he required my ENTIRE medical history...so six months later I went back to him. He brushed my problems away saying a pre existing condition was causing all of my Gynecological Problems. He did not talk to me - he explained my entire medical history (all twenty years) to the intern that was there...ending the visit by askign the intern if he had any questions! I went back to my G.P, who also found this unacceptable, and was referred to a different OB/GYN in the same office. I am now having the proper course of treatment. I would not go back to him, and have thought about filing a complaint against him for his unacceptable diagnosis.

Dr Davis inserted an IUD and was excellent. He clearly explained the pros and cons to me and my husband and answered all our questions. The insertion was relatively painless and the checkup was comforting. I highly recommend this doctor.

I cannot stand this man or the horrible way he handled the delivery of my third child. I made it clear throughout my pregnancy I wanted pain meds and an epidural. I was given neither. However, he ordered pitocin, which makes contractions go faster and harder, but you don't dilate further. It was the most barbaric, horrible delivery with me begging for pain meds or a c-section. Instead I ripped and eventually delivered. I acquired bacterial vaginosis post-partum and I attribute that to his lack of keeping the birthing area sterile and clean. The pitocin is probably the cause of the partially retained placenta that I shockingly 'delivered' a few days later at home. I felt like he delivered the pain (pitocin and no pain meds) with a smile on his face as some sick joke. I never went to my 6 week follow up. Medicine Hat Regional and Dr. Davis do not exemplify Health Care for the 2000's; it's like the 1800's. It's cruel and labour and delivery doesn't have to be that way.

He may know what he is doing however to brush off my questions and concerns regarding my endometriosis was not axceptable to me. He wrote me a prescrit for BC and informed me that within the next 2 years I would need a total hysterectomy. Shocked to hear this I asked about a lapriscopy to drain the endo on my ovary. He brushed that away by saying why go through 2 surgeries when I could save him the trouble by just having everything removed at once. I ques-tioned that fact that statistics prove that total removal does not cure an incurable disease. He informed me that I didn't know what I was talking about and that I would not get it again. Funny, I was told that after have an ovary removed by one of his fellow ob/gyn a few years ago. I found this all uncaring and will not be returning for a follow up visit in the recommended 6 months. My dr agrees that I will be sent out of town for a second opinion in the near furture. Until then i am trying Chinese medicine and getting great results.

Dr. Davis is not only extreamely intelligent, he is extreamely personable. I moved here from Lethbridge at the end of my 1st pregnacy. He delivered my son who was over 9 lbs & it was a difficult labor. I saw him all throughout my 2nd pregnancy and he was a very inspirational coach. With his advice of healthy eating & daily excersize and monthly check ups my baby girl was just over 6lbs and the delivery was a breeze. All through my check ups he would take time to involve my son, let him wear his Dr.Coat and listen to the baby's heart beat. My son will never forget this. I see him annually now and I feel very lucky to be on his patient list. Thank You Dr. Davis!
