Staff often forget to call in medications ordered by doctor. Doctor doesn’t listen to patient and often says things she doesn’t follow through on.

I'm currently in need of a GP.
Dr. Anne Payne-Johnson came highly recommended by a close friend.
So, I called the office and was told the Doctor was accepting new patients. I explained to the receptionist (Ramona) that I had lost my health insurance in 2015, and my prior Doc had retired but I would still like a wellness check and I would pay cash. Ramona stated that she would have to check with the Doctor as she did, from time to time, give a 51% cash discount. I stated that would be great, but regardless I would pay full cash charges. She again stated she would have to check with the Doctor and would call me back the following day.
Fast forward to a week later....I never heard anything else so I called back today and Ramona informed me that Dr. Anne Payne-Johnson will be unable to see me. I asked if it was due to me having no health insurance. Ramona stated she had no idea why. I asked if she had any suggestions as to what options I had being in my current (uninsured) situation. She told me I could dial the main Sacred Heart number and see if there are any programs available.
I am 55 years old and have had health insurance coverage my entire adult life, until I recently left my job to become a full time caregiver.
Not sure if the Doc or the receptionist deserves the one star rating as I find it very hard to believe that given the number of un/under insured people I would be turned away due to my payment method.

Not very personable and rude. Her office changed my appt. three times, yet when my husband had to reschedule his appt. twice, she told him at his next appt that he had to find another Dr. because she could not run her practice like this. Then he had to wait 48 minutes in the examining room to be told that. Needless to say we are not going back.

Wonderful staff and very knowledgeable doctor. She actually spent time listening to me. No other doctor listens like she does.

Ordered way too many test. some I still don't have a clue why she ordered had nothing to do with why I was there. had me diagnosed first day seems like all she is intrested in is being right. Sent out referal without even talking to me of my options. left the patient out of the patient care. It's like dealing with a run away train ready to run off the tracks.

Very nice and kind, she really takes her time to get to no you and the problem that you are having. Always have a beautiful smile on her face. Makes me feel right at home. The care that she gives to to the upmost.
