I believe Dr. Doug Carmody to be the best doctor I had when I had a heart attack he kept sending me for tests until he got to the bottom of it all F.P.

This man stands for the Committed Soul of a Dedicated Professional with a Human Contact based protocol for Care . He delivered on several occasions a professional level confidentiality while maintaining an in depth level of care . Today , I can confidently say that Dr Doug Carmody took care of the whole Bio/ psych / social needs .

I met Dr. Doug approx. 17 years ago. Serendipity had stepped in and a personal meeting was arranged. I had just been given the news by a local Ch'town doctor that I had cancer and approx. a year to live. I arrived at the meeting w. Dr. Doug feeling defeated, doomed, and finished, with 'no' hope. I felt like I was old, tired, done and drove my car through winter roads white knuckled and like that of a very old lady. Following two hours of hopeful, mindful conversation w. Dr. Doug, I left that meeting feeling like a teenager, and I actually drove home with one finger on the steering wheel, full speed limit and sang all the way home. That was 17 years ago. Attitude is 98% of healing and wellness. Dr. Doug Carmody set my thinking straight and saved my life. I've never looked back and thank him regularly although he maybe doesn't know it. I hope he sees this.

Dr. Carmody is a doctor who cares, listens and helps. He takes the time to explain things thoroughly. I recently had him as the Internist on call in Emergency and follow up care in ICU. I can't say enough nice things about Dr. Carmody.

I really appreciated his attention while in ICU. Especially considering I had never been in hospital before. He explained things thoroughly and with a refreshing sense of humor. He seemed to get quite excited about my ct scan and enthusiastically showed my husband and I, along with all the medical students and nurses, all the lung clots. He never seemed rushed and made me feel like I was safe. I knew I was in good hands. And I liked the prognosis of 100% recovery. He's a good one.

Dr. Carmody is a very kind, knowledgeable person and although he is a very busy doctor, may not agree with his patients , etc. still sticks to the problem at hand till it is remedied. I took my mother to emergency 18 days before she died, and the emergency doctor said there was nothing wrong with her and wanted to send her home. We would not take that advice and insisted on seeing someone else. Dr. Carmody was called and after checking mom, verified she was not able to go home. Mom died 18 days later. Dr. Carmody found the problem the next day and we were told what so many others had not been able to tell her over the previous 7 months. I respect this man, he was very kind to mom and believed what she was telling him. Thank you Dr. Carmody.

I found Dr Carmody to be knowledgeable but not understanging, pehaps he needs to remember the person in front of him is going thru this the first time. His ppl skills need mprovement.

Dr Carmody saw my father for serious liver problems. He is knowledgeable and can admit when he does not know something. Explained things well and is easy to approach. Would recommend him.
