Fantastic doctor. I've been going to Dr McDonald for over 15 years. And had multiple procedures done. She has always been open to what I have had to say and explains everything in depth. Both in office and again in the operating room. I've found her to be very punctual and her staff if very friendly and helpful.

I have been a patient for more than 10 years with a condition that requires annual sigmoidoscopies and gastroscopies. She did my first colonoscopy and discovered my condition, performed my partial colon resection (almost everything) and worked with me for quality of life where other doctors (I had 3 other opinions) would not do what I desired as an outcome. She listened and did not treat me like I was crazy for wanting what I wanted. She is an excellent surgeon and she (and her staff) are always friendly and helpful.

Had bloodwork and ultrasound from ER that clearly showed I had many gallstones and one had been blocking my bile duct which caused me a lot of pain. Bloodwork levels were extremely high. She sent me away saying I had some kind of stomach issue and didn't need my gallbladder removed. So now I'm stuck waiting for a different surgeon recommended by my GP.

Very thorough, understanding and compassionate. Very good at communicating ...both the office and the doctor. I have much confidence in Dr MacDonald and her surgical skills and knowledge.

Dr. McDonald recently did a colonoscopy on me, discovered some lumps and quickly scheduled surgery which resulted in removal of the lumps. From start to finish she was great at explaining things, a bit blunt in the "get this done ASAP" Dept. ( thankfully ) great "bedside" manner and a decent sense of humour, all of which helped easing both mine, and my Wife's concerns. At the follow up visit I was expecting a "we got the lumps but .........." so I was pretty edgy. She went through all the results, everything turned out great thankfully. I was in tears, gave her a big hug and went on my way. Can't say enough about how impressed we were with everything.
