The rude behavior of his receptionist is almost unbelievable. She raises her voice to you, lies and basically refers to you as the same - a liar. I was never contacted for my appointment with a date and time and after many months waiting called to inquire about it. They gave me a date and time which I not only wrote in my calendar but also put in my phone with a reminder as I was on the phone. I never got a reminder call so I called them the week before the appt. All I got was a message that they were understaffed. I called back the day of the appt to confirm the time and it said he was out of the office. I called the office the next day when I was rudely told I had missed my appt, was called and confirmed the date and time which I had not been and that she would she what she could do about making another one. She basically yelled at me telling me I was a liar when I said I was not contacted and she hung up. Never heard from them again.
Shame such a good dr allows such incompetence to represent him.

Dr. Currie performed tonsilectomys on my son when he was 16 and my stepson when he was 16 as well. He is a wonderful surgeon who truly cares about his patients. The boys loved him. He has an awesome bedside manner and actually shows up to do his hospital rounds when he says he is going to - something not all surgeons do. In my stepsons case, a complication occured a week after the operation (he began to hemmorage) but it wasn't due to anything Dr. Currie did wrong. My stepson was rushed to Sydney by ambulance and Dr. Currie was waiting for him and attened to him quickly and compassionately and corrected the problem. It was a very scary incident for my stepson and his dad and I, but Dr. Currie's confidence and professionalism made things a lot less stressful for all of us. Thank you Dr. Currie!

my dad was send to himand was told on four separate times that he had mouth cacer and only the first was the only real time the rest were scar tissue and for that reason the cancer spread to his jaw, back of his mouth, and most was removed all because he jumped the gun.Doctors in halifax had said if he had stop after the first surgery,he would have been cancer free, and probably alive today.
