I have great respect for Dr Bak. His objectivity, straightfulness and great knowledge have keen in helping me resolve my emotional problems at different stages of my life. I recommended Dr Bak to at least four friends, and all of them were very pleased with him.

Had one session with him in 2014 (4 years ago). Thought our relationship problems were a joke. Rushed the session then tried to get us to come back again. 4 years later, I still cringe at the thought of that session and knew I had to write a reveiw about it. Waste of time and money.

on time 99% and apologized if he isn't. he's been very polite to me.one of my friends went to another psychologist who literally and emotionally held her hand. yuk. this guy doesn't do that, thank god. i have enough emotion and i need someone who won't add to it. he engages my intellect rather than my emotion. i feel relaxed in the office. he spends time to discus any subject at length if i ask him to, or he listens and not talk very much if i want that. so for me, i'm getting a good mix of therapy and some counseling.

Dr. Bak worked with my husband and i for approx 18 months. He helped us learn to communicate much more effectively. He is an excellent listener and talented therapist. He is able to point out difficult and sensitive issues with empathy and encouragement, and was instrumental in guiding us through our conflicts to resolution. He helped our marriage tremendously.

Not everyone gets along with every psychologist or psychiatrist. Patients (or clients) have a right to their opinion and hopefully the wisdom to change to someone else when they are unhappy..There is no majic bullet in psychology or psychiatry and his style won't fit everyone, however,Dr.Bak is the right guy for me.I felt that on the first appointment which was strange for me since i was so distrustful of anyone.I've found him very helpful. When I went to see him in a total panic he gave me new methods to deal. Most of all,he knew not to get in my way as I told my story.I was able to develop trust in him and talk about some really bad stuff.I've developed self-esteem,self-confidence and more trust in people.I have been able to get off the medication that the psychiatrist had me on. : ) Thanks doc.

Very rude and brusque, has no problem mocking your problems. He has his own mental issues that he tries to mask with his "dry humor." Will keep you coming back to him just to take your money, so don't kid yourself into thinking he cares. He is nothing but a psychological vaudeville act. Also, don't go to a him for marital advice because he is only an expert in divorce who has been through multiple.
