I was referred to Dr. Coffin when I was in high school for possible gum grafting but he said my teeth were stable so I didn't have to get it done. My dentist told me last year I should get it check out again so I went to Dr. Coffin this past Monday, and had my first apointment yesterday for gum graft on my left side, Dr. Coffin did a great job, I did not feel any pain during the surgery and today I barely feeling any pain. I am going for a secon gum graft in a few months to do my other side. Dr. called me last night to check on me which I was very impressed with since I never got a call from a Dr. during after hours, so it shows he cares. He also said I could call him home if anything comes up this weekend. I recommend this Periodentist to anyone!

I had been seeing Coffin for several years on a maintenance level (he did not do my original surgery) when I developed an infected tooth that my regular dentist was unable to diagnose properly. I assumed my perio would be able to help, but not so. I was treated very rudely, argued with & sent on my way with the diagnosis of "clenching". I tried to get some antibiotics as I was sure it was an infection, but he would not prescribe any. A couple of weeks later, after much pain & distress, I had to have the tooth pulled. I was sent back to Coffin by my dentist & was again treated rudely, accused of not telling him I had a problem! He denied it was a gum problem, which I told my dentist, who was surprised & called Coffin to confirm. Whereupon Coffin told my dentist I was "confused", he "never said that". I was disgusted with his behavior & severed my contact with Coffin immediately. I would NEVER go to this man again & I would NEVER recommend him to anyone.

i had gum grafting done yesterday and I was SO scared but dr. coffin talked my through the whole thing and made sure that i didnt feel any needles which i was terrified of. I was in and out of the office within 45 minutes. I must say that i never want it done again but if i ever had to i would be going back to Dr. Coffin. His staff was really friendly and made sure that i was ok and even later that night i got a call from Dr. Coffin making sure that i was doing well and if i had any pain. He calls all of a patients to make sure everything is going well and for a doctor, i must say that i have never seen that before but it is very comfoting that he would care. Even if you live out of town, I would take the time and travel to Fredericton to go to Dr. Coffin.

As a patient you are quickly put at ease in the happy and relaxed work inviroment. Dr. Coffin is very good at explaining what is going on and involves you in the process.He is very thorough and anyone who has had to has had him do a drawing for you can attest to this. Dr. Coffin and his staff are a credit to their profession.

Excellent periodontist! After three separate gum surgeries recently I am well qualified to highly recommend him if you ever need anything done. Dr. Coffin is very friendly and professional. Very nice and happy staff working in that office. Relaxing atmosphere for the patient (even when needing surgery). Keep up the good work! You're the best! :)

He is always a gentleman,kind, considerate and is always very personable. He makes you feel at ease when he talks with you. He makes you feel like you matter. Anytime I go to him he quickly takes any fears I might have away by his manner. Keep up the good work. You are the best!!!

My experience with Dr. Coffin was GREAT ! He knew what I had as soon as he looked at it , but took a biospy right that day & sent it to Dal. Called me at home to give me the results. Way to go Doc. Loved him !
