I had a colon and an endo both and he wouldn’t give the courtesy of speaking to me after with my results. He called my daughter and it was a 30 second call and left so much out that was on the report. I requested to speak to him because I had questions and he was not available. The nurse said he would ask his supervisor if someone could come go over my results with me then returned saying I was told I could give you a short brief review. They are here to take you to your ride. I was left to feel I was a number they wanted to get through and get rid of. I only know what my report states and no one to ask questions to. This dr was new to me due to my insurance. I was not a fan and will request someone else.

I believe Dr. Vankineni is the best Gastroenterologist in the North Alabama area.

Dr was fine no problems..his nurse was not..she was always in a hurryand never answered questions correctlt. Wrong info is not good.

I had a colonoscopy and an upper GI. This doctor was pleasant, informative and easy to talk to despite being extremely busy on both of my visits (pre procedure in office and for the procedure itself in the Hospital). I have absolutely no complaints about Dr Vankineni. Great guy!

It has been many years but this Dr. almost killed me. I had no insurance and was young but paid each visit in full at the time of the visit. I had gone back to ask a question and overheard him coming out to tell his nurse that I (used my name) was dehydrated and if I called back do not have me go to ER under his name cause I had no insurance. I could keep nothing down any way, was rectally bleeding, and losing weight like crazy. He did not tell me I was dehydrated! Did not reccomed any nutrition supplement or tell me to try and drink alot. He just gave me lots of pain meds & pills. I ended up going to my old doc out of state that had lots of letters after his MD. He just looked at all the different pills (25+)and shook his head. He said the pills were so bad in my cond& the combo was given. He got me better quick. He indicated I should report this guy & I was lucky to not have organ damage. He gave same crappy treatment to a friends dad who did die. I'll not take him as oncall Dr.

I have used Dr. Vankineni since 1988 and he is the most wonderful doctor you could ever see. His concern for his patients is above and beyond anything I believe you would expect a doctor to have. If you are blessed enough to become a patient of Dr. Vankineni's, you will never want to be far away from him if you get sick. He is the best!

I saw this doctor on weekend because my doctor was not in town. I went to the er and he was taking my doctor's calls. He waited on me to get to the er even though he was just about to leave when I tried to get in touch with my doctor. I was very empressed with his concern and his knowledge of my problem. I am even considering changing to him as my physician and not using my doctor again. He seemed very concerned about the pain I was having due to chronic pancreatitis. I would highly recommend him if you are having gastro problems.
