I wish I read these comments before my visit today. I wasted my time, over one and half hour waiting in his office. He charged $15 for processing the lab work. It seems he is a business man rather than a physician who cares. In addition, he didn't let me ask questions. I did not find him helpful at all.

Dr. Stahl has always been extremely caring and helpful with my arthritis in my fingers and my knees. I find most of the comments below to not be true of any appointments that I have had. He is thorough and no nonsense. I don't want him for my friend, I want him to help me find relief, which he has done over and over. I had been having pain for months, one doctor wanted to inject my back, Dr. Stahl suggested a certain type of shoe and within 3 hours my pain was gone and hasn't returned. Saved me a lot of money and injections that were not needed. Hope this is helpful.

I am pleased to find agreement in the comments offered. I am sorry I did not read this forum before making an appointment. I have never in my life encountered such a rude, inappropriate physician. I have no intention of returning to his office. His arrogant, impatient and angry manner was inexcusable. He was "overwhelmed with all this" "don't know what to do with it" when asking about my medical history. He lost patience during the medical exam requesting that I raise my arm despite great pain and threatening to do it himself when I could not. He dictated physician's notes in my presence and there were several errors, including medication errors. His uncontrollable rage seems to me to be pathological. There are certainly enough rheumatologists in the area to warrant avoiding this one. His office staff confirmed that he is an abusive personality.

I did not find Dr. Stahl rude. I found him to be all business and very knowledgeable. Others have rated him as being late. This was my first appointment with him and he was about 10 minutes late with my appointment. I think this is caused by the fact that he is VERY thorough. He even dictated a letter to my family doctor while I was sitting there with his findings. His staff was very friendly and helpful. If you think he is rude and short, that's a matter of opinion and you know what they say about opinions. He didn't treat me like his best friend. I wasn't there to make friends and neither is he. I was there for a medical condition. If you want a friend, join a gym or look up your high school friends. I have friends. I needed a doctor and he seems to be very good at his profession.

This doctor gives "rude" new meaning. This was my last visit today! I am so tired of being in a patronizing, rude, irritated, impatient manner that I have decided to go elsewhere. While I think he is knowledgeable, I am hesitant to ask anything or tell him anything in case I get one of his irritated remarks. Bedside manner does count for a lot!!! Who wants a doctor who is so annoyed with anything outside of his routine? I would rather drive 60 miles out of my way than to go back to his office. I am going to find another rheumatologist and have my medical record sent there. Who needs to be belittled and put down when you are not feeling well in the first place? As for waiting, I have usually waited long over an hour for a scheduled appointment. I try calling but that is not usually an indicator of how long you will have to wait. And the office is not all that comfortable!!!

He is the WORST doctor I have even been to. He is impatient and rude. He doesn't explain anything. Would not recommend him to anyone.
