She’s awful. Don’t bother seeing her, unless you don’t want your concerns to be taken seriously.

At first I really liked Dr. Rathova, she was funny and appointments never felt too formal or uncomfortable. But then I started having mini seizures, and I asked her to look into this. I explained what was happening and she would say that I was just "anxious" and that it wasn't anything. I insisted that something was wrong, and that I wasn't just "anxious" and that these mini seizures were happening when I was just watching tv and not worried about a thing. She ignored this for years, and then in my late teens I developed full blown epilepsy and started having grand mal seizures. The only reason I was finally sent to have an EEG test (a test I requested from rathova many times) was because I went to the hospital and a different doctor requested that I have one. After that the results showed that I did in fact have epilepsy, and Rathova relayed this to me as the results were sent to her office since she was my official doctor. The appointment was under ten minutes, she didn't tell me anything about epilepsy - what to avoid, or prescribe any anti-epileptic medication. She just said that I'd be referred to a neurologist and that I wouldn't get to see him for several months because of the wait time. I didn't end up seeing the neurologist for over half a year, and in between that time I had another grand mal seizure, I went to the hospital again and the doctors there asked me why my doctor hadn't prescribed me any anti-epileptic medication. They sent me to the pharmacy with a few prescriptions and I talked it over with the pharmacist who was also baffled by the situation.

Well at first Dr. Rothova was great ...then as I got more Ill she didn`t take proper care of me..now my health is extremly bad..She did not take the time to listen to me ..she could see my pain but pushed me aside as I was to much due to several conditions ..IBS, Torn chest Muscle, cronic pain syndrome, ostearthritis wear n tear on my whole body now my siactic nerve i can barely walk I`m 41 years old i have been sick for 4 years and getting worse in my health ..I am not impressed with her work i know others and they all said the same so. Dr. Rothova has her favorites ..and reception to nosey none of there bussiness why your seeing your doctor this is private chose wisely on your DR.

Far too quick to prescribe opiates & narcotics. Missed diagnosing Type II diabetes. Does not understand that non-alcoholic fatty liver exists. Personable but not the most competent. Front staff snippy!

dr. rathova is considered a "script writer" by the afm ... benzo's and opiates and that's it. she missed my uterine cancer by a bad pap test and has grown so frazzled over the years that i changed drs. 5 years ago ... very glad i did!

I think Dr Rothova is an excellent doctor and agree with the other posts! Friendly, thorough, smart and kind! What a combo! She is a keeper!

My husband and I see Dr Rothova. She is one of the best doctors out there. Very kind, very respectful, listens to our issues and provide the necessary treatments all the time. Always takes the time to ask us about our day and our life...She is always on time, always wears a smile and walks us out of the exam room to her receptionist! I love Dr Rothova and thinks she is the best family doctor in Winnipeg!!! She is exceptional and extremely kind!!!!
