Dr. Bare was careless and reckless when he pushed me into work hardening too quickly after my 2nd right shoulder surgery within 2 months of each other. Prior to my 2nd surgery for a rotator cuff repair, he stated several times that we would take PT and work hardening much slower than the first time around, giving my shoulder a chance to heal. August 12, 2012 is the date work hardening changed my life from being healthy and very active, to being in constant pain, having to undergo countless procedures each year to help cope with the pain and discomfort. I've been taking opioids and numerous other prescriptions for the past 10 years. The damage to my spine has left me unable to lift more than 8 pounds, unable to ride my bike, play soccer, golf, tennis, workout, jogging, bending over to brush my teeth is painful. I can't stand or sit for extended periods of time, I can't lift my grandchildren. This all could have been avoided if Dr. Bare heeded his own advice to me, but yet he instructed the work hardening therapist to push me and test the limits of my right shoulder that day. So here I am 10 years later still suffering with the consequences of Dr. Bares poor decision. My family has suffered the economic impact of my permanent injuries, as I was not able to go back to work and perform the important duties of my job due to Dr. Bares carelessness.
