Native American women please don't trust her. 1st son was an "emergency" C-section I told her I don't feel right that my stomach was tight and low. She sent me for an nst everything was "fine" they said when it was time for my scheduled induction my baby was in there with no water and his heart beat slow so emergency C-section. My 2nd I was scared of contractions as I've never felt them and I mentioned another C-section she lit up was extremely nice and encouraging like "no pain you'll have your baby in 20 mins" but I was in pain for months! She insisted, I trusted her so now I'm a frickin C-section mom who never felt one contraction because of this foreign woman who wants to make top dollar in northern Canada taking advantage of native women. My 3rd there was only me and this one lady the whole floor. It felt like she deliberately hurt that woman to make her stay longer she stuck her whole hand in her vagina (no I didn't see ew she told me my roomie) roughly getting clots out right after she had a C-section which she could have done while open (her last pregnancy) I was scared as hell because it was my turn to have a C-section she went first. I told kania I was scared she immediately said why like she knew I knew that she hurts people for money but I was fine after that so was my baby. My last was handled rough by her she gave my baby a swollen eye to this day it's crooked she pulled her out rough y'all, otherwise why would her eye be so big and bruised. I also told her that my stomach was sore right here she looked wide eyed and said I have to go to emergency then they'll send me to her but I was already with her you know what I mean so I was like frick it man I'll just wait until my surgery date (I couldn't use a blanket my stomach hurt I couldn't sit up) the day of surgery turns out my ovary was the size of a potato boom 2 surgeries in one day could have been 3 but I didn't want my tubes tied it's unnatural. She really wanted to, collect every dollar she can off me for the last time I didn't let her and I still haven't had any pregnancies since then. She botched my stomach. I could have had normal births if she would have done her job right. If she is your doctor record everything and if your not sure get a second opinion make another appointment with someone else ask if this is right is this ok? They put a nurse as a witness to sign some kind of paper she looked at her like she was a bad person. They're sick of her too I always heard them talk bad about her. Totally agree with everyone she's rude and mean, her poor staff were on egg shells the east Indian ladies looked stressed she would give them such an evil look and tsk them all the time they were really nice to everyone and on there feet great workers! Horrible employer. Widigo nahtzee

Dr Kania made me feel less of a person. Felt very judged by her. When it came to talking about my medications I needed to be taking for my pregnancy she had the nerve to tell the secretary in front of her other patients. So unprofessional. She can be very rude in not letting you talk or say anything you needed her to hear.
When I was in labour she got mad at me because my legs were numb from the epidural and I couldn’t hold them up for her. She also got mad and told me not to cry because I screamed while giving birth? Like?? I couldn’t help but to yell and cry while giving birth. Wouldn’t recommend her. She can be mean, rude and unprofessional.

Unprofessional and negligent. Wouldn't even let me hold my partners hand during labor, criticized me for crying and ignored my cries for help postpartum. I had to go emerg once maternity discharged me to actually get help and found out I had something pretty severe wrong with me. Save yourself, get someone else. My child's birth and the stay in the hospital is one of my worst moment of my life thanks to her and I cry when I think about it, in a bad way.

very unprofessional, i left the office in tears after she insisted on arguing with me about something so dumb. it had nothing to do with the baby or the babies well being. would not let it go and just move on. will be switching to a different doctor. also heard this from a few other females in my community and heard shes rough with delivery.

She’s the best. She’s hard on you, if you do not obey her lol. She only wants what’s best for her patients. I felt very safe in her care. Excellent doctor.

I've had Dr. Kania as my doctor for the last three pregnancies. She is very compassionate for her patients and only want what's best for them. Then there's her employees, that are so rude and make the atmosphere so miserable. I am such a friendly and nice person and do not tolerate rudeness from anyone. I had conflicts twice already with two of her assistants; It's too bad how her assistants reflect her. Me and another client had the same issue with the assistants. I felt bad for the young lady, she cried in the waiting room because they belittled her. Watch out for the rude India assistants.

One of our first visits to Dr. Kania resulted in one of her employees telling my son to be quiet in the waiting room, he's a two year old and was laughing at something, wasn't yelling or screaming. Every time we go, you always wait past your appointment time, she simply takes on too many patients for a private practice. Dr. Kania is not terrible but she doesn't have good bedside manner. We live in a remote community over an hour away from Dr. Kania's office and require a letter from Dr. Kania for my workplace to assist us with moving somewhere closer to medical care in the province. Dr. Kania has said she will provide this letter but still hasn't to this day, over 2 months since she said she would. This is something that puts the safety of my wife and unborn child at risk as we have no medical services in the community we live in. I would not recommend Dr. Kania to any friends who are expecting.
